By the way, that is the best resolution I have heard yet.

Sooo I really don't know about watches. I do know that I'd like to get mine fixed. I've talked to a few places but am not sure how to gauge how much I should trust them. Anyone in the MAIC that can tell me where I should go? How much should I expect to spend?

High school grad present. First gen (I think?) Seiko Kinetic titanium with gold. I think the capacitor is bad:

Just picked up an Omega Railmaster:

*Not my picture, but same watch and strap.

The Railmaster will go nicely for special occasions, while the Planet Ocean will continue to be the daily driver:

*Also not my picture. Can't take anything resembling these nice shots

I love that thing; wish I had the wrist for it. Incidentally, it's Jeremy Clarkson's favorite watch.

There are actually a few different sizes. I have a rather small wrist, so the smaller 38MM fit me well unlike the one Clarkson wears (XL) which would be akin to me wearing a wall clock.

I haven't logged onto NASIOC in a long time. 2010 was a mixed year for me. I was deployed for 10 months of it, but it was a great year for watches. I saved up enough during the deployment to get a PAM 320 (I loved the Panerai comments on the last page, LOL!) and then found an excellent deal on a Speedmaster Pro. Happy New Year, everyone!

With only 300 or so made it quickly, and I mean quickly sold out. I didn't even have time to get to the bank to deposit funds I had been saving for a track car. Now they are going for $30,000+ from a base sale price of $5,000 or so.

Any comments on Orient in terms of quality? I know there have been lots of talk about the new STI watch, I'm thinking of getting a blue Mako or Mako XL. Just something for everyday wear.

I've been rocking a pepsi Mako for about a year now, and I really like it. I've received a lot of compliments on it. It feels good, looks good, and works good. Mine is rather accurate (-1 min/~3 days) but I've heard of other people losing more time, sooner.
My biggest gripe is with the endlinks loosening up every few weeks and rattling. Not that they're difficult to retighten, I do however wish I didn't have to.
