Default Going catless in a 96' Outback? Any direct replacement part?

So my cats are acting up, I don't have emissions where I am and I don't exactly just want to run headers....

Is there something product out there that makes a direct mid pipe for my two cats? Just looking for something to connect headers to muffler and that's it

Does such an item exist? I hope so..

And golly gee that means I also need to do something about the O2 sensors too

TWE and Stromung both made track pipes. I don't know if they still do, nor how much they cost. You might be able to find one in the Classifieds here or on RS25.com - I've seen them advertised periodically.

Or you might be able to convince a local shop to just make you one. It's not like it's all that complex a shape.

O2 sensors are easy (I did mine). Spark anti-foulers! Drill them out and install. Clear codes and you're good to go. I'm still on the fence as to wether or not it was worth it though, the cars not running great but I don't really know if it's because of the exhaust. I doubt it though.

Grab yourself a borla replica from ebay, and have an exhuast shop make a 2.25" exhaust from the header back. Just make sure to have a high flow cat converter between the two oxygen sensors and your good.

You might have to get a spark plug anti-fouler for the rear ox. sensor, that's what I did, and I haven't had a po420 code in a long time. You can run catless if you want but your car and Captain Planet will b*tch at you if you do.

Default weld

if you find someone who can weld, they can cut your cat off and weld a pipe where the cat used to be. Then get a O2 sensor bung that is longer so it wont throw codes.

Took my primary cat out and went single 2 1/4" high flow cat, made a huge difference. Likely due to the fact that original cats with super high milage
