It took me two tries to start my car at 9 degrees with a steady 22 MPH wind.

I almost cried while trying to start my car up this morning. i was confused for a second, because I'm a man, and I don't cry. Then I realized that the 17 degree weather combined with the wind had frozen my eyeball, causing tears. Then I went about my day.

1 degree here this morning. The gear oil in my Civic turned to peanut butter I think.

Was -4 this morning when mine slowly cranked over and made all sorts of noise. Hill holder and TCS were both disabled on the dash the whole way to work.

Same here. Is it power steering of some kind? I was like WTF is that?! And when I was wiggling the steering wheel it made a similar noise. Scared the crap out of me.

Oil pressure light stayed on for longer than I'd like during start up. The engine was not happy at all.

I think gremlins replaced my gear oil with tar.

Not sure. This isn't the first Subaru I've had make a below-freezing noise like that, and always goes away after a few mins.

When I woke up to -4 I decided to call my friend pick me up for work. No way I'm starting the car in that cold weather before I install my block heater and oil pan heater. NO WAY!

Be a man. It is a car, you're supposed to drive it. One negative cold start is not going to kill it.

So me deciding to save gas, miles, and avoid a cold start pisses you off and makes me less of a man?

CHILL OUT PEOPLE

It's not like I called out of work because I didn't want to start my car. My friend lives down the street do I just got a ride with him.

You are a moderator. You should probably read what I said because I said nothing like that. You must think I'm such a moron that I believe these cars won't run in sub zero. Come on man! Lighten up.

If no one was available to pick you up and there was NOWAY you were going to start your car, you would have called out of work.

Yes I am super srsly pissed off right now.
