i mean no one has threatened to kick me out, but landlord just says the city keeps telling him they are gonna start fining him. i haven't seen any paperwork, so i don't know how much merit there is to all of this.

the 2nd floor is open again. i'd love to just move back up there if i could find someone i'm willing to live with.

Well honestly, the landlord put you in this situation because he built an illegal apartment and now forces this immediate hardship on you. Technically its not your fault so he should let you move upstairs and pay the same rent you are now, until you find a roommate or another place to live.

I'm not sure what you're willing to pay per month, but Craigslist has a ton of apartments listed.

yea we'll see. the dude is behind on his mortgage payments as is, so if he doesn't get someone up there paying a decent amount, there might not be a house to live in regardless.

i've been paying $500/month with all utilities included, so i'm pretty spoiled on rent payments. i've been looking around, not finding much i like for <$800. main thing is secure parking for my car/bike with storage room for all my extra crap. i really need a 2 BR...

Oh, the Ss didn't come with instructions.. I figured it was be a complete replacement so I would have to get under the car to disconnec the linkage.

Rear spats are not hard, but I need to jack the car up and take the tire off to drill. Kinda hard to do them in city streets

So take the new job and move up here. You'll be making more money and live closer to the gang.

WIN WIN!

I just did mine last week. Remember to replace the bushings under the car when the shifter rod is out. Make sure to wear gloves because it's gonna get slippery in there. btw you will need a second person to pull on the reverse mechanism while you're under and locking it in place.

So in all honesty, what is keeping you from accepting the position? You said it was "tempting" why isn't it "irresistible"?

Unless after you accept the position you find out you're working 60+ hours a week for basically peanuts and if you damage company equipment it comes out of your paycheck, like in the case of my recent job venture

Its close to irresistable. I still need to consider school, and the fact that my commute will be 3 times longer until i move.

Let me know, I'll gladly run up. I just have no idea what I'd even need. If your around, I'd just assume run up, have you look them over, and I'd run to the store to get whatever you told me I needed. Don't think it will take long.

Lmk I'm game. The earlier, the better. This will leave you with all day to get your right arm use to it (stiff).

So I'm about 100 yards from work and a guy backs into me. WTF! Bumper got a nice holiday in the paint over the fog light, and the fog light cover is broken. Awesome... just awesome. I'm soo annoyed with today.
