Default 17x9 Rota Grid on an '05 Wagon

So, i've been doing a lot of searching and been finding confusing/conflicting answers to my question. I just got a 05 WRX wagon, and want to put on 17x9 Rota Grid wheels (http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=6524).

The car is (and will remain for a while) at stock ride height, and i'm wondering what tire size i should be looking at for the best clearance. I've seen people talking about 235-245 are good, but also that those require rolling the fenders (which i am a little leery of at the moment).

any help/advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

a 235 is going to be a little stretched on a 9" wide wheel, but you should not have to roll fenders, as a mater a fact depending on your camber you may not rub with the 245 either...IMO its going to look like **** sense your at stock ride height though.

Youll deff need a roll. Your big problem is the stock springs. The caar will roll over and squat on the outside while turning. Also bumps etc while turning will make it rub.

Therw are many factors to what makes a car rub. Height, camber, springrate, rim offset, rim width/size, tire width/height, etc...

Pm me if you cant find anyone to roll your fenders. i live in the Binghamton NY area "Vestal" and have a EastWood fender roller... I know its a drive for you. If theres a few of you that need it done I may be able to come up your way.

Pm me for details. no problem if not...

What tires are you looking at? A 235 in one brand might be wider than a 235 in another.

thanks for the info guys! looks like i'm going to need a fender roll for any kind of wider tire. The real problem is that i CANNOT seem to find the flat black Grid wheel in anything narrower than a 9" while sticking to a 17" wheel. And thanks rexworx for the offer to help out!
