KBB Book Value for one in good condition = $13,500.00.

I've seen some FD's go as low as $9000 w/ 70,000+ miles on them.

Word of warning though, the apex seals on these cars like to go out around 70,000 miles. They are almost a timebomb at that point.

They are nice car though. If you can find one that has a new motor, or one with less miles on it, you'd have yourself one of the best handling cars in the world.

It's....... wow.... An amazing piece of machinery...

5 speed touring edition, (only like 2700 of them ever made apparently).... the only thing i don't like about it is that the original owner painted it the Mica Competition Yellow that came with the Rx-7's that year.. --- stock it was red...

I'm going to talk with my financial advisor (my DAD) and see if my bro has the $ to buy his half of the truck off me. If he does, I can get this one.

We'll see... it's an on-going process, I should know more tonite...

Off northern lights south on C street, it's on the right hand side of the road...

I heard that one was for sale a week ago, a good price in the states would be $16000 to $17000. I haven't heard too much history about that one, but I remember it had low miles and I think it has a catback. Don't plan on even attempting to drive it in the winter, it just won't work. Plan on having a beater car, you save insurance that way anyways.

There aren't many up here anymore, there's my black 93, a red auto, and that yellow one that I've seen this summer

http://home.gci.net/~bob/Carpics/

There were about 13000 total imported between 1993 to 1995, and easily half of those have been totalled or made into race car only. They are still being made in Japan though.

If you get really serious about it let me know and I'll come drive it, I've had mine for six years now and should be able to "feel" anything wrong.

A Mazda reman motor in the states is $2000, a nicely rebuilt one from pineapple racing, pettit, rotary performance, or any of the other rx-7 shops is about $3000. Rebuilding the stock twin turbo's is about $600.

When my car is parked for this winter I'm going to do an LT1 or LS1 engine swap.

Thanks for the info, I'll probably look into it more tomorrow afternoon... I have to make a couple phone calls and get a little more information, then see where I stand...

That engine swap should be interesting... And nope, I don't plan on driving it, I'm going to try to mooch off my bro and my parents if that's what it comes down to, otherwise I'm heading south for school next winter then back for the summer... We'll see...

Let Bob check the car out. He definently know's the RX-7 inside and out. Like Bob said you should have a back-up car to drive, in case the 7 is down for repairs. I really enjoyed the few hundred miles that I put on my 7 before I sold it. But I was also very foutunate that the engine didn't pop in the short time that I had it. The Anchorage Mazda dealer put some soleniods that control the sequential turbo system on incorrectly and I had boost spikes that could have easily killed the engine. If you do get the car this just proves that up here in Ak. you'll have to work on it yourself, cause there aren't any shops up here that understand the rotary.

Ive seen that artificial CYM around town a bunch.

FD's are badass, driven one, was probably the most comfortable, and best handling car I'll ever be able to own

My FC isn't a bad little car, less hp, but still has the kick ass 51/49 weight balance, so handling is sweet...

$18k isn't a bad price for a FD though, it's probably the lower avg for a nicer one without tons of mods.

artificial CYM... haha...

I'm going to do some more checking on the car and the insurance and the bank today, have to run to the police station first though, Last night I picked up a $40 fix-it ticket on my red bulbs in front (about time they caught me!) and now I have to turn them in to the proper authorities...

The owner of this car has a mechanic already that apparently knows it, I'll get all the info on that----- Cause I don't know much about the rotary...

I'll keep you all posted, I don't know if I'll get it or not at this point...

Thanks, that's the same car, I used to work for AK Aquarium on spenard for 7 years, and I used to have a Pettit racing license plate frame. Pettit is an RX-7 shop in Ft Lauderdale. I took it off a year ago right before my warranty ran out, I returned the car to stock for a week so I could have a final checkup and didn't want any hassles.

Yeah 2 in the neighborhood would rule...

My bank is slacking...... they're waiting for special authorization or something like that, I can't even begin to understand what goes on in a bank, so don't quote me on anything...... Going to go talk to them in person tomorrow though, like I said they're sitting around doing nothing, I just want to know if they'll loan me the $$$

Bob, you'll have to take a look at it before or after (if) i get it, tell me what it has, point me in the right direction for a little bit of modding and reliability tweaks........... There's the '7 update for tonite....
