Default HIR1 or "plus 50" h1's in Western WA?

Hi guys,

I'm leaving to go back to Bozeman on Sunday, and I'd love to get my hands on some better-than-stock bulbs before I make the trek. I have hated the output of my stock bulbs for quite some time and would like a relatively inexpensive (aka non-HID) fix on it before I have to do any more rocky mountain winter driving.

So, is there a place I could get "+50" h1's, such as "Narva Rangepower+50, Osram Silverstar, Tungsram Megalicht, Philips VisionPlus", or toshiba 9011 HIR1's in western WA? I checked the o'reilly website and I don't think they carry any of them.

Thanks!
Joe

If you have time to wait for shipping, get the osram nightbreakers on candle power. They are a little spendy but worth every penny. I run them on my car and they are amazing.

Are those the +90s? I have heard they are great bulbs. I'd prefer to have them before I leave which is why I asked for a local dealer, but if they're that much better, im all in favor of waiting to get a better product... I just need to avoid any and all night driving on my journey back to Bozeman.

you can get (or used to be able to get) the HIR's from a John Deere dealer as that is stock bulb on some riding lawn mowers....only for your high beams however and they're $40-50/each last time I checked.

Only for the high beams? I've read that you can do a bit of trimming on them to make them fit as low beams, but maybe i was mistaken.

For the record, it's the lows I take issue with. The high beams are great, but the lows... blow.
