Default STI Genome - Who can tell me about it

I've got a USDM STI Genome axle-back exhaust on my 04 wrx and I love it! But i'm wondering what the Genome line of parts is from? Any one got a pricing list for all there stuff catalog wise? I've tryed googling it but I just get for sale threads mostly.

Who else on these boards has one of these? I've heard they are one of the best exhausts sound wise is this true?

pic for reference USDM STI Genome exhaust (no etching on side)

Here is the JDM exhaust it has STI Genome etched in the side (not my car)

Gauges (pic from google)

I'm coming from the Honda world so would Genome be equivalent to Mugen? Like how mugen makes oem parts for honda? (ex. 08 mugen civic si) mufflers, exterior, interior etc...

Never seen those gauges. Until now, the only thing I've seen with the "Genome" name on it was that exhaust.
I think STi or SPT would be a closer equivalent as far as the Honda/Mugen connection.

Mugen is the tuning arm to Honda, as Subaru Technica international is to Subaru.

The gauges are Defi with STi Genome markings. The STi Genome exhaust is the SPT exhaust. I believe SPT(USDM)=Genome(JDM). Could be wrong, dunno for sure.

What's the first thing I get when I type in "STI genome" into wikipedia? Semen analysis, of course!

I've got the that same exhaust, it doesn't sound at all like your typical fart cannon, sounds very nice and surprisingly quiet actually.

The Genome Gauges and link are made by DEFI but they are not compatible with the normal DEFI gauges.

Ex: I have a Genome Boost gauge but I need to pair it with a Genome Defi Link

Also, I cannot add a normal DEFI oil temp/EGT/etc gauge to my Genome DEFI Link. It has to be all Genome.

Hmm, interesting on the gauges. I have the DEFI and had thought about changing for these, but if I wanted to add additionaly later, couldn't. Good info to know.

Hmm, well, there you go. I thought maybe only the tip was different, but guess it is a whole other animal.

Yes.

I'm not too familiar with them but from what I've read, these were dealer options you could order for your car. Genome and SPT are not one in the same, rather different parts.

GeNome line is a performance line of parts sold in Japan, similar to the SPT line sold in the USA. They made strut bars, gauges, exhaust, etc. The JDM GeNome exhaust is the same a the USDM STi sport exhaust but with out the name on the tip. It is not the same as the SPT exhaust. The GeNome gauges are Defi, but not compatible with the new Defi guages or Defi Link II.

I used to like the look of the Genome, but with no exit angle that big ol' can looks really awkward to me now.
