Default 08 wrx FMIC kit fitment on an 02 wrx

The issue i have is that i have a shop in my area that has a bunch of intercooler kits for the 08 wrx's and newer and is trying to get rid of them for dirt cheap. i am good with metal work and welding aluminum. my question is how different is the 02 chassis compared to the 08 and how much change is needed for the intercooler pipes and the mounting brackets on the intercooler. what do you guys think?
