Default WRX reputation...

I am going to Mississauga, Toronto on July 15 and probably be there till the 18. Could someone give me some idea what to watch for regarding speed trap area and if the WRX is on the watch list for the police? The reason I ask is because when I drove through Maryland on the way to Annapolis, a highway patrol , drove next to me for a couple of miles and I could swear she was watching me if I make a stupid move. After a couple of minutes, she pulled over on the shoulder and I just kept going on the legal speed, good thing because on the median about 1/2 a mile, there was another cop car. Why I think my car (WRB) was being targeted?, there is a porsche 911 behind me as this was going on and no I was not speeding before this happened.

If the WRX is going to be a problem, I will just bring my C320. My wife's relatives want to see the WRX.

Thanks for any input.

Orlie

Unless your car is really loud and you have "Blue" headlights, you don't have much to worry about. But, there's currently a crackdown on TFATF kind of cars.

If you have a stock looking car, no worries.

Drop us a line when you are in town. Who knows, we may just decide to meet up.

Default Peel region (Mississauga)

You should be fine, as long as you're not speeding or have flashy mods (excessive tint, RHD HIDs blinding everyone). Mississauga (read peel region) cops are cracking down a bit on cars just hanging out with stereos blasting, doing laps around parking lots and too loud exhausts. But I live in Peel region and haven't been pulled over, or followed in the year that I've had my car, so no worries! And yes please do drop us a line at the Toronto Subaru Club, we just need any reason at all to hook up with one of our mini meets!
TFATF = The Fast and the ... ahh you know the rest!

Default My car is pretty much stock except...

the STI front grill and the STI fog covers. The window tint is 50 front and 35 rear. I will post when I get there, and thanks for the input. Seems like a bunch of friendly people here. Maybe I can pick up some parts while I am there.

I will just be carefull I guess.

Take care.
