Just about 14.2 PSi in 2nd-5th gears. 1st gear is limited to 7-8psi.

Foolish boy, Khaos. Everyone knows stock boost is 4.2 PSI, and NO HIGHER. Anyone else who says differently is wrong.

Although a search for "stock boost wrx" would probably work too.

doh. I think I mixed up my boost hose with my brake lines.

no wonder the car wouldn't stop and the ABS module seemed like it was restricting intake flow.

I've heard that there is no boost, and it's all just an image. Subaru has perfected a new "small-engine" efficiency design, in which they can pull extraordinary horsepower and torque numbers from small displacement engines. They just don't want anyone to know.

Don't be confused, becasue stock boost will put you in STPXX class, which pits you up against Mike Shumacher. You want Extra Minimal boost, which will place you in MMCMLXX class, and you can be more competitive.

Extra Minimal Boost is found by dividing Stock boost by the length of your wastegate and adding your restrictor hose radius.

I use the TrunkWookie(TM) Anti-Lag system. Methane gas collected from feeding my TrunkWookie(TM) Dr. Pepper and pie are released into the up-pipe, thereby igniting from the heat. It keeps the turbine spooled between shifts and during sudden throttle release situations.

Nope, REAL tuners measure boost in cord-feet per watt-hour.

KC,
I thought it was limited to 7 PSI in 1st and 2nd gear? I don't have a gauge yet though.

Mine's limited to 15 psi in all gears. But I have this funny device under the hood that you can adjust with an Allen wrench. Does anyone know what this thing does?

Flux Capacitor. Don't touch, or you'll end up back in the 1960s. Shudder

IIRC, 2nd gear is limited as well, but not to 7/8psi. I seem to remember 11/12psi. But I'm probably wrong.

It will only boost when you're under vaccuum, so in theory you have to take your car to outer space first.

Now I'm gonna have to test it but not today. My ECU's been reflashed. ANd I swear it still does ~7-8 in 1st and ~14.0 in 2nd and up. I have a guage. I watch it all the time. I'm pretty damn sure this is the case.

Interesting. Why was your ECU reflashed?
