Default helppp!!!

Hello guys, i think I'm going through the worst decision in my hole life. Finally my father gave me the money to buy a new turbo, but I don't know wich turbo should i buy. I want a turbo the could get me into the deep, deep, 12's maybe high 11s'. i want it to be bolt-on, i'm thinking of buying the PE1820....but i'm just no sure of it.Please guys i beg you help me.

List of my engine mods:
Vishnu Up-pipe
Cusco Downpipe
Bozzspeed Exhaust
unorthodox crank pulley
AEM Cold air Intake
HKS Blow off valve
Fuel Pump
Ground Mod
Sti 565cc injectors
Turbo XS Unichip

What turbo should i buy to get in the low 12. Please tell me whats wrong with the PE1820? Many people are telling me , not to buy the pe , but they don't explain why?

Get a VF30 or VF34 instead, then ditch the HKS BOV and put your stock BOV back on. Add some Samco IC and turbo inlet hoses. With the weather in PR, a better IC would also go a long way.

hey if your dads buying then go for the turbo specialties garrett hybrid turbo. they have ones that will easily outflow the pe1820f. just talk to them and tell them what you are looking for. they can build that turbo to your needs. you can even get a ball bearing center section. its cheaper then the pe1820, just as realiable, complete bolt on, and has more potential than it. just make sure who ever tunes your car knows what they are doing.

So do you think that the garret hybrid from turbo specialties is the best one to buy, will it make more horsepower than the pe1820, will it be safe to ride on road and strip?

Do you know how much it costs?

somewhere along the lines of $1350. as far as making more power, the hybrid will definately make more power. i will have similar lag to the 1820 but will flow much more air up top. as far as being safe to ride on road and strip. i would say that this turbo should be used on the strip, unless you want lag until 4000 rpm, which some people dont mind. if you are looking for a street and strip turbo that zips around town and does good at the track then a vf23 or a vf30 or 34 should do the job. the garrett hybrid and the pe1820 are definately along the lines of drag racing, but can be used on the street with ease.

APS SR 50 and a small shot of nitrous to boost spool up time.
