They have many different features and parts. 3rd, other countries are not concerned w/ 1/4 mile like we are...especially w/ the WRX...hence why there are no drag specific parts available. If we were talking handling, then you would be totally right. If the WRX were a drag car in other countries, we would have been able to purchase garret flanged up-pipes and downpipes from the day the car came out. Unfortunately, we have been forced to develop our own tuning methods and parts to go fast.
.
Thanks for the explanation Dori Dori. It's not like we have the JDM WRX!:monkey:

Turbo T/A You my friend are a hopeless wonder...

You will never conceive the point at hand... and you continue to avoid and post aditional non-sense in each of your posts.

Were to begin on this latest WRX is god rant.

1. Who ever said that the 3 mentioned cars was faster then yours Bueller you care to enlighten me... That repsonse was to TypeC who said BPU 1.8t's couldn't hit 13's on street tires.. so stop trying to involved your car into something it shouldn't be.
So get off your WRX pedestal please you might fall.

2. It's his daily driver genious, built motor 15psi/75shot, in a car that weighs 2720 w/him it. So yea it's plenty street legal and road worthy as you state it.. Don't Assume it makes u look silly.

3. Dude again with the ramblings.. why do you keep trying to compare the vr6 to the wrx... Insecurities?? I know i'm not trying to except when people make silly comments and the facts have to be stated. Who needs an article to tell me if a particular car is good. So you mean the only reason why u got a WRX was it got a good right up in Car & Driver?? Thats what your coming across as.

4. Hmm.. If i drive the car to and from the track and it's my daily driver.. Weather it's my choice to drive around with 2 race seats or the full leather i got with my car to begin with is my option.
I don't see Al's car with full interior i know that.

5. Also 3 11sec vr6's are MY FRIENDS, in NJ.. there are others across the nations... not to mention the other 4 vr6's we just bult to go 11's all in NJ, you have 2 in the whole country..

6. Like i said i daily drive my car year round...though with 400whp snow will not be fun this year...and again here you go on the comparison of the vr6 vs wrx... get a clue.. there is no comparison unless u keep trying to bring it up.

7. I'll be you all with MY car.. to the people i stated that to.

Trust me there will be know end, till either it's locked. Or you come to the realization that you have the "My WRX is GOD" syndrome..

Don't see how you can say you've had discussions with people similar to me... since A. they didn't own a 11sec vr6, B. Friend with people who many fast different manufacturer imports. C. Visits the track 2 times weekly to visualize real life 1/4 mile times by other imports so D. I don't get a case of my car is god syndrome like others .

You make little to no sense in everything you just posted so I cant really reply to all of it, but ill quickly go down the list

2) see below 3) Compare the WRX to any VW... please do. 4) Yes your right. I perfer to drive in a nice quiet car but if you dont, More power to you. 5) see below 6) 400 theoretical HP right? 7) Ok but dont expect to call someone with a fairly out with your super modified Vr6 and not expect someone to get his back.

If you want to tell me someone DAILY drives a 129mph VW then I say your full of shi+. A daily drive includes seats, panels, radio, a/c, and does 10K+ miles a year... You know... some of the things most people use a car for. If a gutted car is a daily driver to you, then i respectfully disagree.

Ok.. I dont know what the hell that means but I do know I was making the point of you comparing these 11 seconds vr6's against the ONLY 11 second wrx. That point is very weak due to the fact that the wrx has only been on the track for 1 full season.

I'd say 75% of my friends cars are faster than mine. My car loses races. I am very comfortable with that. In fact I enjoy getting beaten. If you dont accept that, whatever.

One of my close friends has a car that will ... shall i say DEVASTATE your 11 second vr6's. Actually it will beat almost any vr6. And will out handle them, out brake them, has a higher top speed... The list goes on. Can you handle that? Bone stock appearing, full interior, full exaust. It will do all of the above without making 1 change either. again... so what?

All of this means nothing so why do you bring up "My friends car this" and "My friends car that". I'm friends with John Lingenfelter... and? Telling me about your friends doesnt impress me, is it supposed to?

How about YOU realising one of the first things you stated here.

Quote:
"There is ALWAYS someone faster then you"
all my point is is that the WRX is better than pretty much any production VW you want to put it against. You cant seem to grasp that. Thats why i have tried alternate routes to help you try to understand, but obvously its not working.

WRX does not rule the world, but it does rule over most VW's

If i still missed the point please restate it again.

TIA,

~v6

A: Theoretical 11 second car, no?
B: I cant make much out of that sorry
C: see B
D: You seem to have this case you speak of.

E: I been running in the low 12's since i got my license. I have run a quickest of 9.89@130.77, and have HUNDREDS of 10 second passes under my belt.

The import scene was NOTHING when i started racing. I am friends with so many people from the track its not funny... again we come to the " yea so?" What does that mean? I'm cool cause I have fast friends?

Blah Blah Blah. your little vr6 is fast so? You keep comparing Als times and what hes done well there are plenty of people who have spent a hell of alot less and are running damn close, so stop comparing one isolated car. There are lots of cars that given enough money can be fast. Undeniable fact the wrx is a great car and will spank 90% of your modded little Vw. Yes i do beleive my WRX is great oh yeah cause it is.You arguing your Vr6 also shows that you think yours is, so good we all agree our cars are great. its a car for cryin out loud

I think you guys might have actually won... reason being is your ignorance is unbeleivable..

You are so making my intial point so true... you particular wrx owners are so frigging narrow minded and have no clue about reality... babble on since none of your responses make any sense any more your grasping for every last bit of hope you have..

How the hell are you gonna tell me that my friends car is not his daily driver when ITS THE ONLY DAMN CAR HE OWNS???? Jackass...OPEN THE MIND.... REALIZE OTHER CARS BESIDES WRX, CAN BE FAST.

TurboTA, you have definately earned... #1 Internet Idiot.. for having NO CLUE... about the discussion...

You keep harping my friend this my friend that... HOW MANY TIMES DID I SAY... RUN my car ???

I think you need to pump the NOS into the motor, not the cabin. visualize real life ¼ mile time...??? Yea... um ok

hey guys.

i just have a little thing i would like to say, now of course this is my opinion so please don't start yelling how stupid i am and how slow my car is.

i presonally beleive that a daily driver is a car that is driven to the track. who cares if someone bolts on slicks once they get there? and weight reduction? i know a buch of people who drive around all the time with no spare or backseats.

I respectfully disagree.

I consider my car a daily driver because I've put almost 20k on it in 10 months. Its seen the whole Eastern seaboard from south FL to northern ME.

The most work i had to do to it has been plug a tire and change the oil.

I race my car in the same exact trim as I drive it every day.

That to me is what it takes to be a daily driver.

But thats cool. To each his own.

a lot of people who don't have a lot of torque, run stripped interiors full time for the sligth advantage it gives them. my last car(89 honda accord with a 50 shot and all the bolt ons) i used to run my nitto drag radials all the time, as well as no interior from the front seats back. but i hear what you are saying, it is just a lot easier for you with the awd.

personally when i race the jetta i am in full street trim save for the back seats and spare, and when i open the dump(only raced with the dump open twice so far. mike

If i wanted to go faster I would have bought a faster car, not ripped the seats out of mine.

again tho, to each his own.

Oh damn, this is ghey.

You're still not getting it. No one said a VW or FWD can't make power or can't make a fast drag car. Some of the fastest drag cars (import) are fwd.

The thing is, you said the 1.8t was in the same league, which is insulting and incorrect. I've already given the Supra and Honda analogy.

And just fyi, Al's car is running VERY slow for his mods. He should be running low 11's on street tires at this point. Just take him out of the equation.

Also, a so called "11 sec" VR6 would get SMOKED by a 11 sec WRX because the VR6 runs 11's at the track and 13's on the street fact. The WRX would run 11's on the street (as in, both in street trim). Seen it time and time again.

Just FYI, there are 10.0 (@150ish) sec WRX street cars in other countries, so get off of this 11 second thing.

And I still stand by my claim (AS YOU AGREED!!) that a BPU GTI will NOT run 13's typically. You even said that.

Grow up already people. This "my car is better than your car" **** is getting old quick. All this quoting numbers and magazine articles is just plain stupid. Take it to the track and find out who's right. You can have all the horsepower you want, but if you can't get it to the ground, what good is it.

As far as going fast, I'll stick to my racecar. My TS is for taking my dogs to the water and spanking ricers with a basically stock N/A wagon at the track when I decide to take it.
