Default 99 Outback Shift Lock...Help!

1999 Outback-
I took apart the automatic gear selector cover to replace the bulb underneath because it was burned out. I must have accidentally pushed the shift lock release in. Now the car will go out of "Park" into "RD123" without pressing the brake. The manual doesn't say how to reset it except for go to the dealer. It was working normally before I messed with it. Anyone have any ideas?
.
On another note, I can see what gear I'm selecting now at night! Yay.

I will take a look at mine when I get it back from the body shop. Unfortunately that's going to be a few more days yet!

Have you tried taking it back apart and retracing your steps? That's usually how I figure out where I went wrong.
