Default Cranks then later no start.

To make this short, I started my 06 impreza 2.5i (4EAT) three times today.

Weather was cold (15-20 degrees)

First time (Morning): Cranks and starts within around 3 seconds. (Longer than usual.)

Second time (Late evening): Cranks and took two tries to start the car and finally started.

Third time (Just now): No crank, nothing.

Any ideas? Im thinking dead battery or something.

The night before, I was just driving in some deep snow, dont know if its the cause.

Just seeing what you guys think before I check again in the morning to see what the impreza got to show me.

Thanks.

Alt might be going. Causing the battery to slowly drain. Notice any rough idling? Have em tested perhaps?

Probably dead battery caused by bad alternator. Are your headlights dim? that would tell you if the bat. is dead.

This happened to me last year when I was basically plowing snow coming home. The belts were not tight enough but without it starting you may also need to get a jump or charge.

Changed the battery to Duralast gold, car started no problem.

Will see what happens in the morning after sitting overnight.
