Is it just me or are all the options for the GR a lot louder than the options for the GD? I had a TurboXS TBE on my bugeye, and that was quieter than even the SPT CBE w/ DP that my buddy has on his 2011 hatch.

Anyone have an idea as to why? Maybe I'm just getting old.

Created a quick and dirty video of my car tonight just driving to get some dinner. Video was shot with a basic Flip Camera and a Delkin Mount for the windshield.

The windows were up for the first part of the video, but I opened them at about the 1:30 mark.

Mods:
Injen Axleback
Tsudo Catless DP
stock midpipe
AEM CAI
Cobb Accessport OTS Stage 2 + AEM 93 octane map

I installed the CNT Quad tip on my '12. I have to say I am very impressed for the exhaust you get at the low price. The welds were nice, the bends were smooth, and everything lined up nice for an easy installation. The sound is awesome, it is loud, and that is what I was going for. The 4" tips really finish it off nicely and fill out the rear.

I did a video of some mixed driving. Sorry if it isn't too exciting. Plan on doing in cabin, drive-by compilation if the weather is warm.

If your dick is big enough, shove it in the tip, disconnect coil packs and crank it over. Lol.

Actually it sounds more like a five person job. Four tips if you're cool with rubbin swords with another dude.

Just a suggestion. You might want to look at invidia for the down pipe. cobb dp goes down to 2.5" where it connects to the mid pipe if I'm not mistaken and is not divorced either. Just a thought, cobb is still great quality.

Thanks for the suggestion but out of curiosity, is it that bad that it goes down to 2.5" or that it's not divided? Not trying to be a dick...just curious.

I figure I'd go with Cobb for the quality...Im more interested in the reliability than slightly better performance gains. I don't track or auto-x my car...it's just a grocery getter =]

Plus, I can get a decent deal on the down pipe lol

The divorced bellmouth is supposed to keep turbulence from happening in the bellmouth from the waste gate. Therefore theoretically improving flow. As far as the 3" to mid pipe section, a friend had an invidia dp put on at cobb and they liked the invidia and were impressed that it was 3" compared to theirs. My catback is 3" (invidia) so I would prefer to have it mate up to the same size. For me, I'm not going to go much more than stage 2 (our so I say, lol). I want to get the most reliable power I can get for my parts. Almost everyone at our meet runs the invidia and attests to its quality. Both dp's are great quality imo, I just feel you get a little more with the invidia that's all.
