Oh and btw... I heard from Scott the parts guy from Punte Hills Subaru and he told me that the spt exhaust dropped to 6xx.
I'm gonna be honest with you, the sound on a stock vs. SPT exhaust on a sedan is pretty noticeable. I just got mine installed last week and on a scale from 1-10, I consider the stock to be a 4 while the SPT would be around 7. It does sound nice with a lower grumble, but when you start accelerating it is much more noticeable inside the vehicle. Thankfully it's pretty quite when idling just like stock and is only bit louder when cruising compared to stock. No droning either , but like blindgoldfish said, it is a little louder than what I was expecting.

I like the nice subtle sound of the SPT. Now only if that exhaust was a little less conservative
I have the SPT catback on my 2010 hatch. Paired with a downpipe (i have the Crawford dp) i dont think its subtle at all. mines pretty darn loud. Not to mention i can hear the wastegate gas screaming thru the dp at WOT pretty good. And in Cali its kinda worth it to have it looking stock and sold by subaru, the cops are gay.

How much louder did the downpipe affect your exhaust sound? Because I hear the SPT is very subtle but I'm sure it gets much louder when you add a dp.

What do you guys suggest me for my '11 WRX hatchback between a Perrin Catback and a Magnaflow Catback ?

Perrin is a bit more expansive...

I think Perrin sounds better. Many people don't like the Magnaflow because it is too loud. If you like loud go for Magnaflow. Perrin sounds very unique though.

How much is Perrin axleback? If you want axleback buy the Nameless Performance axleback. Magnaflow is probably very loud. If you want catback the Invidia Q300 is a good choice.

Lol a Perrin axleback isn't going to give any performance either.

FYI - If you pop your motor the SOA rep can easily check to see if you've flashed the car. They won't see the tune but they will see that it has been flashed and flashed back. Then you're SOL. Even if the engine damage wasn't a result of Cobb's tune you're still screwed.

Does the Magnaflow or Perrin have a resonator on their Catback or it gonna be very annoying at high speed ?

i know.i don't understand why people are forking out about half of what they would for a catback which in return once paired with a DP will serve a purpose for something that produces sound. Thats just me tho. I wasn't saying what you where saying was dumb i was just using your post cause it had the name and price.

Even the pipes are beautiful. Nice and quiet, less rumble than stock.

Is that a 4"? Doesn't look half bad. I prefer the quad look though.

My local dealership warranteed a car that was tuned by Doug at TopSpeed. They dumped the ROM, sent it to Japan and the engineer said it was factory lol. Guy got a new motor. So it's kind of a toss up...

Yes. 4" or so, should be 115mm outer diameter.

I like quad better also, but the single outlet dual is already expensive enough. Dual tip is even more spendy and I have a feeling that people are not going to want to pay what it costs even for the one I have.
