Question for those of you with the quad tip exhaust on a hatch. Have you had fitment issues like these? The driver's side tip sticks out ~3/8-1/2" further than the passenger's side. The alignment from the back is pretty decent but I've tried everything and cant' get them lined up. I'm wondering if it's due to the design of the hatch system. There just aren't many joints or hangers to play with to get things aligned.

Thanks guys.

Do you mean loosening it up where it mounts to the engine? I've tried keeping everything loose, setting the tips where I want and tightening it back up.

I will give that a try. It's the Greddy SP Elite. I didn't think I would need to mess with the DP.

My guess is its the DP or the mid pipe causing the issue. Where it bolts to the hanger is my guess

I have a question for those who would know more, why does the greddy single exit come out on the right forcing it to have the pretty big bend when it seems that if it exited the left side it would have a much straighter, and shorter, pipe?

Issues like this make me so glad I went with MadDad Street Essentials. The tips have their own flanges so you can adjust each side independently as far tip positioning is concerned. Dope!

Exhaust shown in video is an ARK DTS for 11-12 WRX/STI sedan

* Note I do have a catless downpipe on the vehicle ....

I looked a little last night and don't know if there's enough adjustment at the stock DP to account for my misalignment. I know others have had similar issues and I don't know if getting an aftermarket DP would help or not. I was planning to do that anyway, but it wasn't in the schedule for a little while haha. I was leaning toward the Invidia DP but will there be an issue with the gaskets since the Greddy doesn't have a built in flex coupling?

Greddy has agreed to pay for shipping and get it checked out but I don't know if it's a build issue or not.

Jester, the problem I had was that I was not holding the pipes in place as I tightened them. It's actually rather difficult to do by yourself, but it made all the difference. I had the same thing going on with the Invidia Q300 cat-back on mine for the first few attempts... Eventually I got the tailpipes lined up the way I wanted and dry fit the rest with bolts in, but really loose. So the tail pipes and the downpipe were set (although the hangers are not something you can trust to stay there once applying force to the mid-pipe(s) so just work with it a bit. Also, you'll need to jiggle stuff around once it's bolted and drive for a bit until it settles to where it wants to be after the vibrations of actually driving it. That's all I got :P

I was rocking the same setup on my car for a while .... The tone you get from the stock CBE paired with a Catless DP is unmatched , at least that's what I thought until I got the ARK....

Before this exhaust I had a nameless axle back and magnaflow ....
Magnaflow was trash, straight up , the tone was horrible throughout the entire powerband ...
Nameless was very nice and loved the sound but its too loud paired with a catless DP....

ARK is the best solution I found , even with a catless , the drone is minimal on the highway ...

Has anyone tried to put a n1 race midpipe with the q300 axleback?

Full Invidia, stage 2 on Torqued Performance map. Fairly loud but sounds raw, great sound. Apologies for the cell phone but it came out OK.

Glad someone is happy with the Q300. Even after many attempts to line it up I'm pretty frustrated with it. Tried about everything including having it on a lift with 3 of us working on it.

I've heard the earlier version of the q300 had alignment issues with the tips. Mine is like that, one side sticks out a little further than the other. I'm pretty picky and it doesn't bother me, the rest of the exhaust is good enough to make up for it. Its still the best looking smoothest sounding exhaust for the money imo. The only thing I would ever consider trading mine for would be the lachute exhaust, if I remember right it is extremely expensive though.

Sounds pretty raspy and loud. As long as you like it.

I disagree with ziggy.. Its actually not very raspy considering its a catless system... This is raspy

I agree, it's a great exhaust for the money. I have the Invidia catted down pipe also and the sound is just right for my taste. I'm just not happy with how misaligned the mufflers and tips are.
