Get the TurboXS! Haha...does that help? I made some of the TXS vids. I love it and have not regretted the decision even once. It has the looks, sound, and performance. You can't go wrong with either one. I think the Cobb is louder, so do you want a louder system or the perfect blend? Good luck. You really can't go wrong.

I've tried Q300, nameless, and TurboXS on my hatch... TurboXS all the way. Nice deep rumble, 3.5in tips, very minimal drone, and can be had for a VERY good price if you know where to look

Thanks and I've seen your videos. I saw ten on YouTube even before I read though this thread. It sounds amazing its just hard to believe that it's only slightly louder than SPT. Plus it'll eventually be louder with the downpipe

I HAD a sedan. I couldn't decide when I was buying so I went with looks. I quickly decided I should have bought the hatch. It's way more practical for my lifestyle. So...six months later I traded in for a 2011 hatch. I also purchased my sedan before the tsunami. I made $1500 on the purchase! Couldn't go wrong. For those paying attention, I had the TurboXS on both and was impressed by both systems. I will say the GT series is definitely quieter and a little more tame than the sedan version. This is a good thing because my sedan would drone with the seats down. The hatch doesn't drone at all.

Which nameless did you have? And what made you change to the turboxs?

I had the original axel back with a Magnaflow muffler. I was a little too quiet for my taste and the tips didnt quite fill in the cutouts in the bumper. The 5 inch muffler option with 3.5in tips might be better.

Searched around on this one, but couldn't seem to find it. So I'm going to be buying a catted DP. Either Invidia or Cobb. It will mate up to a Invidia Q300. Here are the pros/cons I've noticed on each

Cobb:
Specifically tuned for on the Cobb OTS maps

Invidia:
Perfect fitment to my Q300
$100 cheaper

If I got with a Invidia Catted with the OTS tune will it make that much of a difference or no? I plan on running the following mods on the OTS map.

Process West TMIC
Cobb Intake / Airbox
Downpipe + Q300.

Thanks!

Unless you get a custom tune, the IC will net you no power and possible turbo lag. I'd rethink your mods and do a little more reading. If you get a custom tune with the IC, you may want to look into some other improvements in fuel delivery. Talk to a tuner. The OTS maps aren't designed for that.

I purchased through Spun and paid, I believe, $550 shipped. Maybe even less...

I've had nothing but great experiences with them.

Grimmspeed MBCS
DW65C

Stage 3 tune (torqued performance) or etune

Will net you more power and be safer than OTS tune.

I'd also look into a AFR/Boost/Oil pressure gauge.

I have that setup except the tmic, I wouldn't even bolt that tmic on without a protune. The invidia dp is also a full 3" and divorced bellmouth compared to Cobb. Still need to get the Cobb airbox to go with the intake. Couldn't be happier with this setup though, sounds awesome and great power for a ots tune.

Anybody else set off alarms with their exhausts? I have the Turbo XS on my hatch, and it actually sounds semi tame after it warms up and isn't idling above 1100-1200 rpm. Every time I park in a garage somebody's car starts honking at me, I feel like I'm being a douche but I'm just crawling along. Maybe it's just how deep of a tone it is? Don't think my invidia downpipe will help when I put it on. :/

Is it the same car that always alarms? I have the same exhaust. I have never set off an alarm and I never expected this system to be capable of it. It must be the low resonance that rumbles the alarms just right.

It's happened with more than one car.. Not really a problem because I don't feel the exhaust is obnoxiously loud. It usually happens when it's cooler out. I'm guessing the sound must just be at that perfect level to aggravate an overly sensitive alarm.

Edit: I think you were the one who made the video I saw that made me buy this exhaust earlier this year. thanks

I have the same problem with my Cobb. I didn't think it was too loud but there is one car by my girlfriends apartment that seems to be overly sensitive. I don't think it's that loud and it's not like I'm doing a ricer fly-by at 6k rpm. Just cruising along in third and sets it off. I feel like a tool when it does.

Ive had a megan midpipe and nameless muffler delete for about 6 months now on my 2011. Ive only set off two car alarms. There is a Chevy aveo at my work that is way sensitive and if its closer than about 5 spaces away, just starting my car sets it off. The other was a second gear drive by at about ten miles an hour on a civic. Im honestly surprised that it doesnt happen more considering its pretty loud, almost too loud....almost lol.

Yeah you would probably set off every car in the garages I park in. That may also be part of the cause, the garages are usually filled and they don't have a lot of open windows/doorways for the sound to escape. Oh well.

I don't want to give exact numbers, but as I mentioned above, Boston Motorsports and Spun both have good prices. I don't think you'll be able to find it much cheaper.

What baffle issue are you referring to? I've had mine since around January or February and I haven't had any issues with any aspect of the exhaust.

There were a few people who reported the baffling inside of the muffler can had come loose and would rattle/tap. I think they were earlier productions of the quad exhaust for the sedans.
