I've had 7 and the Q300 isn't at the top of my list. It's not bad. Just drones a lot on the hatch.

What ones have you bought. I'm trying to figure out what to do with my 2013 STi. I want louder but still the quad tips. I've heard mixed things about the Q300. Pros and cons for the ones your had?

The q300 is awesome on the sedan but not the hatch. Look up xlubens build thread, lots of info about exhausts and other things too, really good info.

You have a sedan. They don't relate.

Finally made a video of my set up. I liked it for a little while but i think I wanna change it up. I love the sound of Q300 on the sedan so that could be an option. Also, on the first page of this thread there is a video of the Perrin CBE with single tips on the white sedan, but i cant find the one with single tips, only dual tips (on each muffler). I think this one sounds amazing. Any help on the single tips would be appriciated

That exhaust is on their site. I'm on my phone or I'd put the link up. I found it and looked at the specs and I actually contacted the guy in the video about it and he's selling that exhaust. But he's getting the quad tipped which makes me wonder b

I am planning on doing a install write up and review with video. I haven't seen on yet on here so I figured I would do it.

Just went from the Q300 with Invidia dp to stock cat back with Invidia dp and holy crap. Its nice to be so stock sounding with a lot of HP. I do wish I had a bit more rumble though, all you year is engine noise tbh.

Yeah, I actually had a run in with a modded 2008+ STi with a loud exhaust about 30 min after I installed it on my way home. He kept trying to provoke me to race so I finally gave in. Pretty funny leaving him by car lengths and sounding stock LOL. Made me realize you dont always have to be loud and obnoxious to be fast Plus its funny to see peoples reaction.

Exactly and I have less troubles with cops. Plus the stock exhaust isn't a dampner on performance really until 400WHP according to many dyno results I've seen. The biggest restriction in the stock system is the axle back muffler. And if you go external waste gate it is even less of a factor.

The only thing I hate is the stock tips

For those still waiting for the MadDad Whisper for 2011+ sedans, here's a response I got from Rich just a few days ago:

"We’ll have our 2nd pre-product test unit before end of this month with the hopes that we’ve got the volume/tone perfect this time. If so we should have product for sale end of January."

He didn't mention pricing, but I have a feeling, whatever it is, it'll be worth it.

Can anyone answer my question about the comparison of the turboxs gt catback and the mad dad whisper for the hatchbacks? Which one is louder?

I've never heard the mad dad whisper, but from what I've gathered through my research, the TXS is slightly louder. Maybe someone else can speak from experience.

I don't know if it quiets down a little after a while or you subconsciously get used to it or just get better at driving slowly to keep the sound down, but my nameless doesn't seem as loud as it used to. **** my neighbors dodge truck is louder, but you gotta admit the nameless sounds amazing at WOT!!

What up player?!? I answered you on YouTube since it sent me an instant alert to my phone. Just saw your post here but good question.

The first generation TurboXS systems DID require the stealthback as they weren't designed to mate up to anything else. TXS has since changed their design so it is no longer required. If you, or anyone, purchases a used system, verify it is the newer generation or you may find yourself needing the stealthback.

Amazingly raspy! It doesn't quite down. There's nothing to it (provided you're running the deletes) so it's you. Good luck competing with your redneck neighbor. ;-)

It does have some rasp yes but it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to seem, it's definitely no where near the Honda level. And hey I'm stationed Im stationed In Georgia, it's hard to not live near a redneck!
