Default Any thought on the RWD Subaru??

Here is the news. oh. well for some might be old news. Would you go for a RWD Subaru/ Toyota FT-86?? or Should Subaru still with their AWD
lineup??

I think it would a great addition to the line up.
Im interested to see if they then move the engine backwards, to help try to better their weight distribution.
im also curious how RWD might make the 260hp feel, with theoretically less drive train loss

My thoughts are it'll be ruined with a bloated chassis, too many accessories and invasive dash nannies, like every other car being built these days.

some people like dash nannies.

Personally the "concept" looks good on paper but I doubt itll be close to what we want.

besides if your building a whole new car for the boyracer crowd and it's partnered with toyota the a MR would have been WAY better.

mid engine boxer with a 6 speed and rear wheel drive, would be kick ass.

Tiny car in MR layout is practically unserviceable... at least whatever they used to make is such

no but i think the 2+2 part would be excellent.
cuz its too big to compete with the miata, so if you go MR route.... your gonna hurt your sales.

Unless its a miata competitor, its gotta be front engine, with seating for 4.

so What do you guys think?

I will be glad if they introduce as a Subaru. I will really really appreciate the effort if they can keep as AWD.

I will love it as a Toyota because the whole 86 and drifting started as a Toyota brand.

No problem if Scion keeps existing as a brand, but please don't put Scion badge on this car. Scion has no history and no racing heritage. It just doesn't feel right. But I can see why Toyota can save and try to save Scion by giving this chassis to the brand. If they can put this as a Scion, and if and only if Scion partners with the TRD, there might be a good chance to bring back the glory.
