Question Bandimere Wednesday

Who is going to test-n-tune tomorrow? I know Todd will be there, but what about the rest of you guys. I KNOW I seen a couple of 12 second WRXes just itchin to make the time slip thing a reality! Nick, lets see some N/A magic. I may just watch and film you dudes as I have reached a limit on my asymtotic curve of accelleration for now.

Cool

I think that it cost $30 and $ 8 to watch, I believe. I hope there is going to be more people running than just me. Jama, Brian, Nate, Nick, come on guys. If anyone is interested on going, I will be running at Second Creek in the morning too. I should be out there around 9:30. Just thought that I would make it a full day of racing.

Harvey,

Haven't decided whether I will be running again or just spectating, but either way I should be there.

The N/A magic goes like this. "Help I can't breathe, I'm so slow" . Hehe, I'll pass on the run but I think I'll be a spectator. Just remember though, the sun shines on the RS too!

Default I may be there

WRXHarvey:

I figure about an 80% chance I will make it, depends on if I can finish a couple things I'm in the middle of.

PROMANWRX:

Gates open about 4:00 PM, they start running about 4:30. They close the staging lines at 8:45, anyone in line at that time will get to finish that last run.

So you'd only have a couple of hours of track time when you get off work and with travel time, it would be close.

As the day gets later the lines get longer so I would suspect you'd only get 2 - 3 runs at most, if there are no shutdowns of the track to clean up after someone broke something.

As it turns out, I couldn't make it tonight to spectate. However I'll be running on 08/07, and Jay and I should both have a little something 'up our sleeves'...

Harvey,
just wanted to thank you again for driving all that way to lend your support and advice tonight. I REALLY appreciated it. You rock man. I can't wait to see the vids that you took of my runs. I am so excited that I am now with you in the 13 sec. club! I think that I did pretty good for my first time out (arm sore from patting myself on the back ). Terri said that she thought that you were a cool dude and we want to check out your grub. Let me know when you plan to run your ride and maybe we can race each other .

Thanks again for the support and advice, It really meant alot,
Todd

You're obviously jazzed about running in the 13s.. care to post the details of the slip so we can pat you on the back too?

actually I am "jazzed" about my 13. Probably not as jazzed as your 13.2 your first time out.

Default Solid driving

Look folks, what a RT, decent 60', this man has it all. Step right up and watch the spectacle, only 10cents. You did GREAT man. I almost tied my dog to a tree and ran too. I was tired, but I have NEVER seen a better day anywhere to run the 1/4. The temps were cool by 5:30 and dropped to about 70. At first there was a good headwind but it switched to about a 10mph tailwind. I just didn't feel like running. After I left, I almost turned around cause my car felt like it usually does in the cool air at 1am. But we were pimping the I-club to a couple of newbies with unmodded WRXes. They were very interested in getting into the 14 and 13 second club. All cars were running a little faster and it reminded me of running in Tulsa (tear, flashback). WHOA! (takes a gulp of tequila). Also a Pro Stock car was testing and I saw an 8.2 second pass letting off the gas before the end. The Burnout was the greatest I thing have ever seen or felt. I went and watched some NHRA guys prepping their cars. It was neato .

Nice time, Todd.

My 13.2 wasn't exactly my first time out. My car has about 60 drag passes on it right now.

Nice run Todd. Your 60' is great for 6,000'. Now I just need 60 drag passes in my shiz to get that low 13 timeslip.

Default Great time

Hey great time, sad I missed the fun, but my work projects had priority, and I just got them finished before it rained, so no chance to get out there.

Looks like the next test and tune opportunity will have to wait until August.

Your time slip looks really good.

Thanks Phast, Larry, Brian for the kind words, to bad you guys couldn't make it to the race. The race gods were smiling and the weather was perfect for some great times. Phast...maybe you could have broke into the 12's. Cool temp + tail wind = record times. I can't wait to race again. I know that I can do better.

Harvey, Terri had so much fun, she wants to race the rex. We are going to spend some time practicing. She's a pretty good driver and I think that she would have a blast. I love that she is wants to get involved. She is the one who finances all of my mods after all!
