Sorry to take this thread in another direction, but I'm wondering if this meet still occurs at the Subaru Superstore on ThursdayS at 7:30pm. The thread was started almost a year ago, so I wasn't sure if anyone still meets.

Thanks.

Dude, Applebees is such a joke. I'd rather go ANYWHERE else. That's why I no longer go to dinner after the meet. I hate that joint. Tilted Kilt is good. Chic-fil-a is good. In-N-Out is good. Anything is better than Applebees.

Which phone? That can be done before or after the meet.

If you're this far, you can probably get it off by yourself. I don't know how ****ed up the threads on the bolt are, but try tightening it a little then loosen it until it gets stuck, repeat this until it comes all the way off. When you put it back together, put anti seize on all the studs and bolts so this doesn't happen again.

I've got some copper anti-seize. It's great stuff on high temperature applications like exhaust bolts. I'm not sure why, but those things get screwed up SO easily. You MUST use WD-40 or Break-free when removing them for sure.

Believe me, my hands are killing me today, I went at it until it just would not move anymore, "Yman" came over and experienced the same thing, after a while the nut just gave up and is now stripped. Its that bad, so seized you'll warp the material before it will think of budging. Worst part is, the is no room for anything other than a wrench. nothing else fits, and I have a ton of tools I tried.

At this point in time man, its only option is cutting it off. I bathed it in liquid wrench and wd40 for hours, wont move not a mm. When I say its seized, I'm not joking, that bitch ain't coming off.

Well that really sucks. I've even had them strip even after soaking them in a penetrating oil.

Honestly, I've never stripped a top one. I have stripped a ****-ton of bottom ones. And those ones REALLY suck to get to. Especially with a big bell-mouth downpipe in the way. ****ing Subaru. More like Scru-u-baru.

Get it? Huh?! Do you? Like "screw you"! I'm damn creative.
