Default Impreza cranks but doesn't wanna fire up!

It's an 05 rs 2.5 stick with 130,000 miles. We parked at the bus stop and was sitting there when it seemed like it started to miss, so we shut off the car and after the kids went to school we tried to start it and had trouble, but finally started and drove down the hill and it shut off in our parking lot.

I tried a new coil, wires, plugs, and no change. Getting spark, but doesn't wanna start or even try to fire. Checked the timing belt and it looks fine, all my grounds are good, and checked all wires, hoses, and can't seem to figure out what it could be. Even disconnected the battery and still nothing. Getting fuel, and no problems with the starter.

The sound it makes when trying to start is like when you start the car when it was already started. The car is stock except injen cold air intake, and it ran fine for the two years we had it. It also gave no codes as well.

did you take the whole timing belt cover off? and did you have it replaced before 100K? they strip out on the crank usually and you can't tell just by taking off one side

That's what the problem is. Wish I had a garage would've made things easier, 10*F and cold metal don't mix well. Now how much damage would've been done, don't think we even got up to 3k on the tach and only drove about 100-150 yards. It also didn't make any kinda of noise.

We were told it was replaced before, but after this, I think they lied. Wish I would've taken it off the whole ways to begin with instead of just doing the one side, it would've save me from trying to figure out what was going on. At least I know everything else is working fine lol.

Thanks for the help!
