Right? I joined this site to buy a wrx and all I've seen is joke sales. The thread was deleted an hour ago but some guy wanted 5g's more for a few strut braces and seats. Im about to say F this site I need to find someone that isnt STILL obsessed with their car that wants to actually sell it.

^ your bolth mistaken. No the car will not be sold with a slipping clutch or the bad MAf for 18k, the car is in fact in the shop right now. An yes I can afford to sit on the car for the right price salvage title or not there is no accident records on the Vin an it was a theft recovery,. As for the you an the newbie that decided to do spout the usuall "don't know jack / ambiguous commentary, - would I walk up to you outta no where an say something so half witted an arrogant as, " ya your girl friends cute but I could get that easy for a 2 dollar Tuesday drink at the bar". ..No, I wouldn't ; cause well that would make me look like an ass. Like the post says above I would have sold the car OBO if someone bought it local before the new clutch an MAf sensor came in the price would be negotiated. Figured it was self explanatory with the OBO. An ya, with over 11k in receipts in mostly maintenance on this gorgeous project I think 18 obo is a great starting price with my mileage for an 04.

Bump for you sir.

This is actually a relatively good deal. All labor and hard work done of putting the best transmission into one of the better motors (at least better than 07) is already completed, I'd say that the OP is losing money on this deal and is serious about selling it. While I don't agree with a couple of the aesthetic mods on the car, if you have a burnt clutch already, not like it was hard on the motor or the transmission. Better than banging gears dumping clutch all the time.

So the car still needs a clutch? Though it was in the shop a month ago by your posts for a new clutch? Or did that clutch fail also?

You are asking way to much for a salvage titled car. You are the reason car prices are so screwed up right now.

You know I got into Subaru's because I loved the community or Subaru love" for that matter. I started moderating for Misubie the Michigan Subaru forum an I gotta say after 5 years of two bit sarcastic half witted lines this is the reason I gave up my modding an I'm selling my car because everyone's a smart ass. No, smart ass I haven't gotten the clutch installed yet I ordered from a company on ebay a oem exedy replacement an they sent me the wrong setup. I got a refund threw pay pal an have decided to give up on my Sti. Ive already dumped enough money in this project an frankly I'm tried of it so I'm willing to take a loss on the car for the clutch. The car is sitting at the shop right now I ordered the one step colder plugs an there on there way the car was in the shop for a o2 sensor an a new Maf sensor too, so ya the car is still in the shop. Any more smart ass questions pertaining to something that's actually relevant to the buying of the car an not just an accusation of some sort. You want credibility check misubie.com (my user name is the same) ask any member whos been there for the past 3 years who the 4 mods have been. Squids make me sik.

bump for a clean car price is about right IMHO just becasue its R titled should lower the value however if he can prove it was a theft recovery and he can by just running a carfax if there is no accidents then its fine no big deal guys If I had the money I'd think about it but I don't

Ordered the oem excedy replacement clutch as of 3/8/11 should be here before the 17th an on the car soon enough. Cars price will stay at 17k even after I pay all the labor at the shop an she is running perfect an on the road again. So at 17k you get her running in top condition.

This is comedy gold. First off everybody else knows it doesn't matter if there were "no accidents" on the vin. If there is a salvage title you can't sell it for Kbb. Also, if you are going to put up a FS add on this site, for the love of GOD use grammar and sentence structure past 4th grade level. The word you are looking for is "AND" not "an". Jesus.

Few things that would be wise to mention:

1) Stage 2 tune by who?
2) Why did the car need an entirely new transmission with 58k on the clock?
3) Why did the car need a new clutch with 22k on the trans?
4) Why is your username gt35r when the car has a vf39? What did the motor have on it before?
5) With the salvage rebuild, what all was missing/damaged/replaced?
6) Typically, people don't list oil changes and regular maintenance items as "mods" in a justification of cost.

Some of us are actively interested in salvage titled/lower cost vehicle options for motorsports purposes. You might get more interest from us in that situation if you provide more information. With what you've listed, I've got to agree with the guys above, I'd offer you closer to 10k.

I also haven't been able to understand any of your posts since the first.

I also haven't been able to understand any of your posts since the first.

I have been very direct on this whole subject an willing to answer even the dumbest questions but ya ill reiterate for you.

1. Clearly stated tuned threw cobb AP1 stage 2 map directly off cobbs website, the car has not been road tuned or dyno tuned using the street tuner software - just the maps on cobbs website.

2.) The original transmission, when I bought the car, had a leak coming from the input shaft seal. The shaft turned out to be bent an I bought a new 2007 tranz for it. All receipts an labor are accounted for an work was done threw Speed Industry LLC in troy Michigan.
http://www.speedindustry.biz/
When I bought the car it was a rebuilt salvage title due to Theft threw Millennium auto
http://www.y2kimports.com/
there a local junkyard Subaru company that buys an builds from salvage an non salvage auto auctions. The original stolen tranz was replaced with a tranz out of another Sti that had a leak. Thus I got stuck with a car with a leaky tranz. When I bought the car it also had a leak coming from the silicone seal on the oil pan I though all I was seeing was that leak. Turned out to be worse after I bought it leading me to put the 2007 tranz in.

3). I don't know why the new clutch went out so soon. I launched the car a total of 5 times at 3500-4500 rpm max. Shouldn't have given out so soon. I bought a stage 2 execdy for 350$ shipped from a member on this forum an resurfaced the stock flywheel.

4). my user name, in regaurds to this comment. Envy. No I don't own a 35r setup, never have. I wish I had the money. The necessary internals an turbo setup alone from garret (Michigan) is too pricey for my pocketbook. Are you mad cause I took the name first or what? To be completely honest, I will state this once again I Moderated for misubie.com (Michigan's leading online Subaru forum community). My user name was the same on that site as here to keep my credibility the same. I joined there before here.
Join Date08-26-2008Total Posts1,811 (misubie.com)5). This question is actually very reasonable an thank you for bringing it to my attention, I didn't realize I forgot to mention what was originally replaced from the theft recovery. I was told by Millennium auto the Trans, front an rear bumpers, side skirts, fenders, an small bolt on parts such as the MAF intake , throttle body assembly, top mount, y pipe, inlet hose an battery. This is all that I know of from the rebuild at Millennium.

6). Read the post I did not say that race bearings an tranz an gear oil are mods, I specifically said in my post " I have spent over 11k in mods an maintenance" the mod list is every invoice I have on paper that I will be giving with the car as history to her Mods an maintenance.

Fair answers, wasn't trying to call out any dishonesty there, was just pointed out as an interested party, reading through what you had posted, these were the questions left unanswered. What you just wrote there is a much better explanation of the car's history.

To me, when I see a replaced transmission, dead clutch, and an untuned ECU with "35r" anywhere in the equation, I'm going to wonder. The reason I asked is so you could put those questions to bed. Is this the same millennium auto as y2kimports.com / here on the forums?

Yes sir same vendor. We would not deal with them on misubie as a vendor but that is another story. In my own experience I have learned its best to not deal with them.
