Default Pagani Huayra...not as cool sounding as Zonda

but I can forgive that I'm sure.

Quote:
Pagani's 700bhp successor to the Zonda is finally here and itís called the Huayra. The new creation from Pagani is powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 made exclusively for the car by AMG. This is mated to a seven-speed automated manual gearbox which weighs less than a double clutch transmission and helps keep the overall kerb weight down to just 1390kg. The top speed is claimed to be over 235mph and 0-60mph is expected to take just 3.2sec.

Active suspension and, even more intriguingly, active aerodynamics have both been developed for the Huayra. The level of detail is as beautiful as we have come to expect from the small Italian manufacturer, with the exposed carbonfibre weave matching immaculately between components. Mind you, the car needs to feel pretty special as it is going to cost in the region of £1,000,000 when it goes on sale this Spring.

Some angles it's amazing while others it's a little odd...but I remember feeling the same way when I first saw the Zonda so that's probably a good thing.

someone said "walrus" and that seemed a good match as well

for me it's the doors..never been a fan of gullwings for whatever reason.

here's some input from Zonda owner and editor in chief of EVO, Harry Metcalfe.

Well, the wait is finally over and we all now know about the car which will replace the Pagani Zonda. Called the Huayra, the first thing people ask me is how you pronounce its name; it's Wie-era, which sounds slightly Geordie but is the name given to an ancient Argentinean God of wind. No, I'm not going there..

After some badly scanned photographs leaked from a Spanish car magazine, for a while it didn't look too clever for Pagani but now some proper images are out there, it seems most of the early doubters have gone quiet. All I can say is once you see the Huayra for real, it looks very, very special. I can understand who think it's not beautiful in the traditional sense but boy does it have presence.

My sources within Pagani also tell me it will be the Huayra's performance that will shock people the most for, once past the headline 0-100kph time, this car should be Veyron quick. Do a quick calculation of the bhp/tonne and the Huayra is as near as damn it the same as the 1000hp Bug but then look at torque/tonne and you'll see it's over 20% better than a Veyron. Official performance figures will be released at Geneva.

Finally, if you're worried about the Huayra being turbocharged, then remember Horacio Pagani told me in an interview we published in our August 2010 issue, he was looking at producing a lightweight Pagani, fitted with a normally aspirated V8 (I'm guessing along the lines of the SLS AMG's 563bhp V8) to go on sale sometime around 2015. I understand this is still his intention and the project even has a name now, its called the C10...

I didn't post this anywhere else so....*nonchalantly whistling*

some cars demand a wider audience then the news and rumor forum...also too many people in there only want to argue about hypothetical impossibilities.

Doesn't look new, looks like they took the clay mold of the zonda and tweaked it just a little bit

If Fisker had any sort of input it's not been reported or even rumored. Horacio Pagani seems to prefer doing his own thing.

Does a hand come out of the seat and rub your balls to keep you excited?

oh my GOODNESS!!! between the interior, tubular chassis, and the active aero, i'm speechless.

so you're telling me, that if you were DRIVING that car, you'd still need to have your balls rubbed to get excited?!?!? tough crowd.

but seriously, what are those things in the seats for? ...does a hand come out??
