I will be doing tgv deletes either with leaving the rod or with out if the car would run good. Does it have to be tuned or change anything in the map? Also installing modding sti pink injectors to 650-750cc. Doing them at www.witchhunter.com.

Alrite instead of making a new thread, Ill add to this one.
I am running a UTEC and just did my TGV delete. I gutted everything and sealed up the hole. I am wondering what I can do when I start the car when the CEL's show up? I will be getting it tuned, however not for a month or 2 since Jermaine at TurboXS is a busy man! LOL. I have researched this problem through different forums and it comes down to I will be getting 12 CEL's and my car will go into limp mode. My question is, will it hurt my motor to drive around in limp mode? I have 1000cc injectors, PTE 5031 turbo, EWG, catless, FMIC etc... So not sure if going into limp mode will do any damage. Thanks in advance for the advice |

The only way to disable the specific TGV delete related codes (iirc its 1080-1092) is through romraider/ecuflash. All you can really do with the UTEC is disable the CEL light from illuminating on your dash which I don't recommend unless you're going to scan your car daily. I wouldn't drive the car in limp mode unless your going to baby it. You won't be able to run full boost anyway assuming you're controlling it through the ecu/Utec anyway but they run pig rich at WOT and I don't recommend that.
