Default 2011 Legacy MR Broke!

Just bought it back in November and the moonroof is broken. WTF! Anyway, I'm dropping it off to the dealer this Wednesday. I was told they're gonna need to drop the roof to check and fix it.
Anyone had this problem?

The thing opens but would not close. The switches are screwed. The tilt controls sometimes opens the moonroof and the open and close controls sometimes tilts the moonroof. My bad was I did not check it when I bought the car but they are gonna fix it though. This is my third Subaru and I never had any problems with my other two scoobies.

Another thing is the passenger airbag sensor. Sometimes it would turn on and sometimes it won't, depending on how my wife is sitting. She would need to sit a certain way to turn the airba on. Is there a certain weight that triggers this sensor? My wife is pretty light weight maybe about 110lbs.

I did a quick search and it seems like there are a lot of complaints about the passenger airbag on/off indicator and sensor. I'm gonna check with them tomorrow and see what they think about it.

As discussed in this thread a few years ago, the airbag is going to turn on or off at some weight set by Subaru. Unfortunately, some people (like your wife, apparently) are going to be right on the edge of that setpoint. Not sure there's much that can be done about it.

TY for info. The service adviser said they will check it out.
They gave me a Forester loaner and the passenger airbag sensor is on the spot. My son who is about 96 lbs is easily sensed by the sensor and my wife was sensed easily as well. We tested it a couple of times for both of them and it worked all the time.
Sorry I missed the thread about these. I don't have my car back yet and was told they'll keep it overnight. Hopefully tomorrow everything will be good!

Got the car back but unfortunately it is not fixed yet. Service manager said the tracks need to be replaced and will take a week to get the new ones here. Gonna drop off the car again this coming week for repair. Man! This is a waste of time and money. Sucks!

I would hope it's not a waste of money - you shouldn't be paying a cent.

I mean the time that I'm spending going back and forth to the dealer instead of spending it somwhere else, like at work.
I know, I know I'm whining a lot. I'm just disappointed.

At least it's just the sunroof and not, say, the engine.
