And even if they did, most of us couldn't afford it.

The dream of high profit has them stupid. I expect the M1 to fail as too costly and kinda dumb looking. Geeze they should have put the wide E30 style fenders on it. Would have given it some attitude.

Don't think that means too much. In addition to being not-so-great looking, the CTS-V is much bigger. That's an M5 competitor.

It won't sell well here, but that doesn't mean there aren't many of us that would like to be looking at these off-lease, or used down the road. Much the same as V8 Avants are in relatively high-demand in the used market.

Unfortunately BMW is doing away with Wagons for US , keeping them Euro only, and giving US the GT body which is that Hatch/wagon Hybrid, not a fan but more utilitarian for sure. IMO, its something only BMW could pull off, and The M3GT is in the works to come here. As far Cadillac being comparable? Drive both then post, it feels like GM and breaks like GM, M3/M5 are true autobahn 200MPh Cars.

My coworker possibly saw this last night in Glendale CA. He said it was a 3 series sized wagon all camo'ed up, but with extremely wide tires and flared fenders. Unfortunately, he didn't have a camera ready. Probably will show up on a auto paparazzi site soon.

I hope they don't make it. I'd probably make a terrible financial decision if they did.

I think I'm more excited about the 2.0T that has been confirmed for the USA. 3 series sport wagon with 240hp would be plenty competent as a DD.

I'd be happy with a 135i hatchback. They already have the chassic, it would be simple.

Do not really think the M3 demographic wants a wagon. Alas they probably make less money on a wagon vs a SUV so why make a lower profit margin vehicle that has a smaller consumer base.

I say bring it. Eurowagons are cool. M3 eurowagon would be a hoot.

I would buy one used after it depreciated a bit...

But they'd still get moolah from somebody! Just not me.

Only reason I bought a NEW WRX was I didn't trust a used example because of all the dumass x-games wanabees getting them as sweet 16 presents from daddy.
