Im on legacy spec Endura Tech coilovers. With whiteline rear camber bushings to bring the camber back out a smidge. The metal fenders were cut to make space for the 255s. As was the flat parts on the plastic flare.

XXR 530 17x9.75 +20 - 255/40-17 Falkens

As you can see, the new shoes are slightly bigger than the old ones.

What do you think of them?

The front fenders are rapidly approaching paint time and I did a little flare with the existing fender in the rear to see if it will clear the new wheels.

I actually had to raise the car up to get them under in the rear. They stick out a bit too much so I may have to address that in some way.

Not too bad in the front.

Better pics to come.

Good info. I plan on ditching the Impreza for an Outback soon.

Any more pictures?

Hey guys, I know this has probably been asked countless times before, but I'd appreciate the help. I'm looking to get some 527's in a wide, aggressive setup, but would the 18x9.75's have too much poke for someone that's just on Tein S-Tech's at the moment? I plan on getting coilovers with camber plates a little later to go lower and have camber adjustment options, but as of right now I'm trying to decide between 9.75 +20 or 8.75 +20. Thanks for the help guys.

#1 you'll look retarded with just lowering springs and 9.75 plus u won't get enough camber..mexi poke like a mofo

#2 it's best with coils but since you're just on springs i'd recommend 8.75 +35 if you don't want much work.. (at least slightly rolled rears and u should be okay)

If you're going for fitment and haven't done this before it's actually A LOT of work to make the wheels fit...stretched tires, pulled & rolled fenders (flat roll), camber and of course alignment every time you lower or raise the vehicle

Thanks guys I really appreciate all of the help. I think I'll take your advice and go with the 8.75's. I was worried about having some mexi poke haha. I do plan on getting coilovers later on like I said but I'm sure 8.75's will still look good dropped on coilovers right? I will definitely roll fenders and pull if needed. Another question, what's the difference between a flat roll and just a roll? I rolled fenders on a BMW 325i before but I don't know if it's any different on the subies. Thanks again guys

It's for tire clearance. The flatter the better

It depends on your height..I did a slight roll in the rear but my ride height is directly above the tire tread so the fender was actually rubbing and cutting/killing the sidewall of the tire...then I finally flat rolled it which fixed most of it but still rubs only on hard dips. I could add some camber bolts to fix it since my megans doesn't have rear camber plates (I'm already on -2.3 just from the drop alone) OR just run a tad bit smaller tire like a 235/40 (I'm on 245/40's)
