I've been looking for 527's for my WRX but people tell me to say away from XXRs because of poor quality, is anyone in here disappointed with theirs?

First of all I apologize for the newb question!

I have been doing some research on wheels and tires on here for a few weeks. I have a basic understanding of fitment, but I'm still confused on offset.

I guess my question is if I got a set of XXR 527 series 5x100 18x8.75 and put 245/40/18 tires on it would I have any problems with rubbing on my 2012 WRX with stock body and stock suspension or is a fender roll still required?

That's about what I figured, I didn't think so many people would be running them if they weren't any good

Even if it isn't Photoshop, it's still one of the ugliest vehicles ever produced. And I'm 98.7% sure that you don't own it. The fact that those have the GTR drivetrain in them makes them hideous and pointless. Great job troll.

My car is lowered on Cobb springs and I was looking to run XXR 527s 18 or 17" so what do I need to do to run these on my 07 WRX?

First of all... It's not an "R" model. Notice the really tiny brakes? How about the wrong wheels? Or maybe all the missing extra plastic? ...

...tool.

Would love to see pics! I'm running H&R springs right now but am close to pulling the trigger on 527 18 x 8.75's +35...wondering what kind of work I need, assuming at least a roll in the rear...

EDIT: runnning 225/40/18 Conti DWS's

Any advice?

Probably 8.25" unless there's a better size. I'm really in the dark here and would love any input

I think you should be fine with just a roll on the rears. You will be running a stretched tire so there should not be much rubbing on the rears.

I have the same wheels you are planning on getting and I have my rear inner fenders cut w/ coilovers and ~-3 camber on the rear. Only difference is that I have a 245/40/18 tire so its taller. Thats why im running camber in the rear. Also my STi is an 07. The newer body style rear fenders are wider and can accomodate a wider tire/wheel.

Dont quote me on this but I think you might need a roll and a pull on the rear, plus some camber to run the 527's on a WRX. The thing that will get you is the offset since they only come in +35, and the crazy +25 offset.

You'll be fine with just a roll.... And what size of tires are you looking into and suspension setup

For tires probably 215/225 and my car is lowered, i believe it to be on Cobb springs because they are blue and I have Cobb sway bars so I was thinking this package may have been installed:
