No it didn't......

If anything, it got moved inboard. They have more inboard AND outboard clearance than the GD/GH chassis.

You certainly aren't trying to compare the track width of a GD to that of a GH are you? 2 totally different animals. How can you begin to say that they moved the hubs, more inboard, and result in a 1.5 inch wider track on the 2011's over the '08-'10 models? The wheels have the same backspacing on them, and they're only 1" wider than the '08-'10's. which can equate to about half an inch on either side of the wheel. .5"x2=1" for both wheels in track width difference. Still leaving .5" unaccounted for. Where did that come from? Witchcraft?

Front tire pokes out a little bit, but not too bad. Waiting on the RCE camber plates to be released next month.
My camber in the rear is -2.5
My camber up front is -1.8

Once I get the camber plates up front I should be able to dial in a little bit more negative camber and get it looking like it should.

I'm not comparing the GD and GH chassis, merely saying the GR has far more inboard AND outboard room than all previous models.

Explain how you can fit 18x9.5 +44 with 265's and no roll on a GD (you can't) like you can on a GR?

Explain how you can also fit 18x9.5 +44 with 265's on a GD with stock suspension (you can't) like you can on a GR?

I'm not saying they moved ANYTHING inboard, merely saying there is FAR more room on BOTH sides of the wheels than previous subaru models.

Your assertion of "its all the same/relative" is inaccurate, because its not.

If there's all this extra room everywhere between a 2010, and a 2011, then why do I have the exact same spec wheels on my 2011 sedan as Qwaktastik has on his 2010 hatch, and our fitment is almost identical? Since the person I was responding to is also in a 2010 hatch, it's a pretty fitting statement.

With those 522 17x9 do you have to have the hub spacer?

No spacers. I'm running RCE Yellow Springs. That's it. No rubbing. But if you have people in the back you might rub in the rear. I never do so i'm ok. I can fit almost 3 fingers in the front well and 2 in the rear well.

Look at his tire size. Look at yours.

Camber settings.

There is MUCH more involved with how a wheel looks on a certain car versus wheel specs.

I can clearly see a difference in where his wheel fits in relation ship to his fenders and yours. They might "appear" the same in pictures, but its not.

I dont ever have people back there either got a harness bar back there for stiffness not to safe for peoples heads. Does anyone know if you need the center bore ring thing on these wheels?

Tire size, etc will not affect the poke. Camber may a little bit at the top and bottom, but in this case, not enough to make more than a mm or 3 difference. The poke is almost the exact same. And again, if I had this massive amount of extra room over a 2010, then with the same wheel specs, he should have more poke than me by a long shot.

Hubcentric rings are recommended.

Not too sure on that one bro. Are you ordering from NL? If so, just tell them you need the rings too, and they can get you squared away. I'm sure someone like El STi can get you squared away on the info though.

tire size has EVERYTHING to do with how the wheel fits within the fender. The amount of "poke" will heavily depend on camber settings.

And no, the "poke" isn't the exact same. It just appears so .

I'm not saying theres a friggin 25mm difference. There is ENOUGH of a difference that you can....

run a 18x9.5 +44 and will clear STOCK GR suspension, AND run a 265/35 without rolling. You can't do that with the GH or previous chassis.
