Some information for the buyer & seller:

Post the Serial Number for the Buyer.

Buyer: Go to Valentine's website and you can enter the Serial Number in. It will tell you what version it has. It will even tell you if it has an updated version if the Seller ever sent it in for an update.

The other reason it is important to post the Serial Number is because you will want to call Valentine Research to make sure the Radar Detector is not reported stolen on their list. IF by chance the detector is reported stolen and you need to ever send the device in for calibration or an upgrade whether software or hardware (new body, etc) they will actually keep the detector and report you to the police. This is very true and very real.

When ever posting your V1 for sale, always include the Serial Number. It will help in the verification process for all parties. Buyer: Never buy a V1 WITHOUT a Serial Number. If the number has been scratched out or is unavailable, V1 will NOT service it, ever.

This information is just as important to the seller as it is the buyer. Goodluck to both parties.

Thanks for the heads up, I did this before buying, but didn't think of it from the seller side.

V1's are awesome. I have mine on all the time. Sometimes people who ride along with me get annoyed by the beeping since i keep it on high sensitivity. But the first time it goes crazy when we are about 1/2 mile from a state trooper sitting on the side of the highway... they are like OMG that thing is awesome.
If you speed at all, highly suggest a V1, you will not regret it!
