Weird thing.... I was driving slowly in second gear (maybe 2500 to 3000 rpms) and suddenly I see all the lights at the dash lite up;
I brake, stop and realize the car is switch/turned off. Turned the key an Voila! no problem, hesitation or sign of problems with the MAF. Car runs great for a week or so, and it happens again; same exact story... Any guess? Experiences? Mariano ![]()

I had that happen when i ran out of fuel or was really low. I know now i do not let the car drop to less then 1 qtr tank of gas. Them aftermarket fuel pumps in my experience can sometime not pull enough gas when your driving turns, etc especially when the tank is near empty.
Hope that helps, MadMax |

The tank was full when it happened; the pump is from Supra TT + I have a Comptech FPR. So basically that's out of the question...
thanks.... Mariano ![]() |

Uh oh, that's how mine started. If it keeps happening it's your MAF sensor scramming the signal to the ECU. One of these days it won't let you restart it. I had this exact same problem. It's a pain when it happens and the only way I know how to deal with it is to unplug the MAF and run in limp mode for a while. Then after a little driving have someone plug the MAF back in while you're holding 2000rpm or so. It will keep popping off ever so often, and replacing the MAF doesn't seem to help it any so it leads me to believe that the MAF is still good, the ECU is just refusing to accept the signal.

You might want to check your connections on the battery. Same thing used to happen on my old car. I had a wire loose and corrosion/(acid stuff) on the clamp.
