8 months.

Oil changes, new radiator, short shift, and car stereo...maybe $600

Pretty sure I won't be seeing 30K anytime ever.

You're not "investing" money when you mod your car.

How's the weather in Sarasota, FL? I've been there 3-4 times when my wife worked at Ritz Carlton hotel before we got married.

had the STi for 6months and just did oil changes and fillups, so nothing. sold it for what i paid for it.

buh bye WRX :(

Default

Buying the cleanest WRX I could find has certainly paid off by now, even if it is a 4eat. At 50k on the clock to start, almost zero maintenance outside of the service schedule over 3+ years besides a wheel bearing (which I paid less to buy a press and parts than the lowest shop bid )

I've accomplished a lot with very little on this car so far by waiting for good deals. Maybe two grand so far into modifications without counting what I've taken out and sold, three including winter wheels/tires (although that's not much of a mod), but that's going to change when the new shoes show up. At least I'll have more wheels to sell.

Once the engine or transmission falls out, I'll be looking into fully refreshing everything underneath with nothing but STi.

Until then,

Nearly 3 years, > $2,500 not including maintenance. I'm getting tired of modding so that's why I stopped.

I owned my 04 WRX for a little over 7 years. Spent about $5,000 in repairs over the years which included about $600 in aftermarket stuff. Not including tires...

On my current 11' WRX I've spent about $1,500 so far(winter wheels/tires, K&N drop in, shift knob).

Almost 4 years with mine, over $15,000 into it (including purchase price). A pretty even mix of mods/repairs, and almost 100% parts value since I work in a shop and do all my own work.

I am on WRX #4.

I usually upgrade to the latest and greatest every 2-3 years. My 09 was the shortest at 1.5 years before swapping it for my curremt 2011.

Original owner for just about the last 8 years and 160k miles; I keep up with all maintenance and run items to about 80% of the recommended interval before servicing. It costs me, on average, $350 a month, out the door, to run (a little less than half is for petrol).

07' bought new, stock, $0 other than maintenance. 84K and has never been back to the dealer or had an issue. If I wanted a faster car, I would have bought one rather than modding mine. Am considering keeping this as my winter car and buying an Infinity G coupe. Hate the turbo lag my WRX has.
