dont do it. thats the dumbest **** i have ever heard.. IMO subies look dope wingless, and there would be no point in having that scoop cause you have no intercooler. spend your money oh other things to make it faster.. probally suspension tho.

To each your own, it's your own car. Don't take our opinions for granted. You decide what you like and dislike. Search the 2.5i pic thread and you'll get an idea from other users of what it looks like with the hood or wing. Let those pics support your reasoning, and not by our words. That's my 2 cents.

I don't care much for the look of wings but they are funcional and I wished i had one a few times on the track. I drove my brothers sti after he went wingless and i noticed it felt a lot less planted at speeds over 100. If trunks weren't such a pain to take off and put on i'd have two but getting them to line up and work correctly sucks.

I wouldn't put them on my car, but do what you want as it is your car

wingless or lip spoiler imo and hood scoop wise... well looks good yes, completely pointless and makes people think u own a wrx yes... so on that note imo no... you want a sweet hood get someone good with fabrication and custom vent it

Im gonna go with dont do it. spoilers on a non-performance version of a car are ok only if they are relatively low profile. STi spoilers are like someone else said, too in-your-face.
Hoodscoops imply that your vehicle is capable of over 200hp (imo). and turbocharged.

Yes it does look cool with the scoop, but, even if i did beef up my engine (ie pistons, rods, bearings, etc) and turbocharge it, it would go with a black fmic. why? because its harder to see something black behind a bumper than something shiny silver at night. or even in the daytime when you are going at speeds. even then, some people would think you got a fancy radiator =p

then again thats just me

I'd say if you're gonna go with a wing, make it the WRX wing and not the STI.

As far as the hood... Like I said earlier, if your gonna get the scoop you'll want the inverted as well. The airflow is better with the inverts and the scoop is gonna create some airflow issues.

^^ I never had any air flow issues with my 07 wrx hood, temps are always right on the bottom whether local or on the highway.

I have a Seibon inverted hood scoop on my car because someone dented my stock hood [pretty badly] so I got a WRX hood with no scoop and bought the Seibon piece from fastwrx.com. I've gotten good and bad comments on it, but I like the look of it from the driver seat and in cold weather like now, I can see it venting the heat out at stoplights.

and for those who I meet who think I have a WRX I have this in the back. OEM look, and unique.

*and yes the rear foglight is hooked up CORRECTLY...not set up like a Honda owner, lol*

I don't know how I feel about that inverted scoop. I want to like it...

I can't imagine that it's that much different from a normal scoop in terms of airflow etc. And it definitely doesn't look better than a normal scoop from the outside.

Oh boy...

I had an STi spoiler on my 2.5i (no hood scoop) for a long time and I personally thought it made the car look great. Some liked it and others hated on it. Last year my car was rear ended and the trunk got dented up pretty nasty and now I have a Seibon wingless trunk that I plan on having painted to match the car.

Now that I'm back to the wingless (and shaven key hole) I think it is prob my fave of the two. Much more clean and you get much less attention.

In the end just do what you want but I have come to love the simple and clean look of scoopless/wingless. If you are set on a wing I would go with an STi Ltd. lip spoiler or Mines along with a front bumper lip. Accent this with a quality set of wheels and the exterior won't look stock but not too over the top either

huh? Imagine this, forward scoop brings air in, reverse lets it out.
