Default STi engine, transmission, brakes to WRX questions

I apologize as I know this information is all out there, but I need to move quickly on this and want to make sure what I think is right is actually right. I'm almost ready to buy a salvaged 04 STi. I'll swap the brakes, transmission and engine in to my early 04 WRX. The car isn't going to come home with me, though; another guy is keeping everything I don't need. So I really need to make sure I get my parts list right.

For the transmission, here is what it looks like I need:
- Transmission
- Shift linkage
- Rear diff
- Driveshaft

With that, everything should bolt up fine to my WRX unless the STi has male axles, right?

For the engine and ECU, do I need the wiring harness? Thanks for the help. I'm going to keep reading in the meantime.

Default

front and rear axles
front suspension

and

rear suspension (control arms, hubs, springs and shock absorbers.

I would take the rear control arms/ trailing arm setup out of the sti and switch it over.

also

STi wiring harness for engine.
STi ECU
steering wheel
seats
blue carpet
instrument cluster
knobs and switches
hvac and dash
sti wing

then youll have an STi converted WRX

The old lady won't let me spend that much money. The other guy gets all of the stuff I don't NEED, and he's specifically going in on it with me for the suspension.

So.. I'm pretty sure I don't NEED anything for the transmission except the rear diff, and the axles if they aren't female like mine. Right?

And for the engine and ECU, I DO need the wiring harness, correct?
