Default My dash guts are out headunit hooked up but it wont fit in help!

Please help me.

I am installing my head unit, I decided to crimp the wires and I took out the old headunit and the 2 metal pieces on the side off it and put them back on but when I try to fit the metal sleve in it wont fit!!!

I put the new unit itself in (JVC KD-SH707) and it fits perfectly into the slot but how do I secure it???

should I take the 2 metal pieces off again and use those gold screws and screw them into the new headunit and put the whole thing in as one piece??? Please help me!!!!

Bryan

Yep- remove the radio cage, screw the headunit to it, and reinstall the whole thing as one piece.

Shoot - I was hoping that you hadn't taken off the trim from the front of the deck... Then maybe I wouldn't feel so stupid about taking so long to figure that problem out when I installed my first deck...
