Default GM's 2012 Model Production Dates

2012 Model Production Dates
GMI is the one-stop shop for the latest on the 2012 GM products.
www.GMInsideNews.com
February 2, 2011

Yes, the year 2011 just rolled around about a month ago, but that means it is time to look ahead to 2012 in the automotive industry. Information regarding General Motors' 2012 lineup is slowly starting to trickle out through various channels, including the current production dates.

GMI has obtained a list of the scheduled start of regular production dates for most 2012 GM models. The below list is accurate as of this week, though we caution that the SORP dates can change between now and the date listed.

Our sources have been combing through the 2012 information that is currently available and have not reported any major changes to the lineup at this time outside of what is already known. GMI will continue to post updates regarding 2012 model-year changes over the next few months.

The C6 is that good of a car. Really, there's not much that's 'wrong' with it and don't change for the sake of changing.

I agree with KC. Change for the sake of changing is not a good recipe. Just gradual improvements over time is the way to go. Keeping the cost of production down by keeping commonality as long as possible is smart. They still sell every one they make and there is still practically nothing that even comes close to competing with a 'base' vette.

Performance-wise nothing really needs to be changed but a slighly smaller Corvette with a real interior are needed. If nothing else fix the interior.

They can at least give C6 an upgraded interior, LED taillights, and better seats. I know interior was just slightly changed back in 09, but it is still not up to par even with the new Chevy lineup.

Uh have you ever been in a C4 or C5? I still have zero complaints about the C6 interior.

well we all know some people have lower standards than others, but to be fair, looking at most cars on the market today, C6 has a cheaper looking interior than most others in its price range.

i wouldnt mind having the CTS-V interior in a vette. vette being such a niche and unique car, GM can very well increase the MSRP by another $2k to pay for the upgrades and still make it the best performance bargain out there.

I've said it before, but I still don't understand how people who have clearly bought WRX's and STI's that sacrificed having a good interior to have performance equivalent to a good sports car cannot understand buying a car that sacrifices a good interior to have performance equivalent to high-end sports cars/exotics (Go-go-gadget run-on sentence!). It's the same thing....

I'm not saying the Corvette shouldn't get a better interior as soon as GM can do it; it's really the only flaw the car has. I'm just saying I don't see how WRX/STI owners have any room to talk.
