Anything official or tentative for a mid-pipe release date. Looking for a solution to my rasp factory.

How well will that resonator on the midpipe reduce that rasp?

Either way I probably wont get it till I come back from afghanistan.

Sure. 5% off also. Can't be combined with other discounts though. I will need some verification, I'm not just going to be shelling out discounts to anyone who makes that claim, but generally if I can get a look at your FB page it's pretty obvious if you're current or former military ;-)

Just PM me for the details.

Yup. It's on our list behind 2-3 other projects. (Downpipe, Hatch Midpipe, FMIC).

Ugh, my hatch finally has an arrival date. I want a turbo back setup but don't wanna install till I have the whole thing. So I can just tune it once. Open tuning though cause I have never used a cobb. I need to reread the post about timing for other pieces and discounts.

899 is pre order price for cbe for hatch or sedan. And how much extra for the cutout on the hatch?

899 will be the CBE price point normally. We will probably very rarely discount it further than that. Basically it's two parts and the discount is built into the combination of those parts. Separately they'll be 999. So you can just wait until the car comes in and buy the whole thing and you're going to get the best price. The 'discounts' I'm offering right now are so people who buy an axleback first don't get screwed out of the combined price when they go to add another component.

Don't have a price point yet on the downpipe, it depends on a lot of factors.

And we will have a full turboback package that gives a similar discount on the retail downpipe cost when combined with the other two parts.

Thanks again!

So once they have the tbe, then you would be able to get a tune and see some hp improvement like other tbe's that are out?

Yes we will be providing a custom tune with all of our components at some point around the release of the TBE. We will be tuning the TBE on our customers car with the AP and an AEM intake.

Also, if you didn't notice, I have a new login name. Yay.

Just wanted to update. Installed the axle back on my wrx sedan and it sounds amazing. No trouble with local police, but loud enough when you get on it to be a head turner. Looks like I'll be sending a few potential customers your way Jason . Looking forward to your midpipe release and better yet, all future parts.

Sounds like I know who I'll be going with for my exhaust needs.

Just need to see how the 08+ wrx sedan one looks.

Uh.....YES!

You're on the list. Call me and we'll schedule an appointment. I have an '05 Legacy GT Turbo coming in sometime next week, maybe we could do them back to back to compare.

Awesome. I would like to suggest testing catless versions and figuring a way to tone the rasp and retain the deep rumble. I am in no way trying to tell you how to do you job(cuz your fab work is great... Ask me how I know!) Just a suggestion.

FMIC? Price point? I'll be in the market for on of those when I get back as well. No cutting is preferred and I'm sure most will agree.

Edit: black powdercoat option as well.

We'll be doing a lot of testing on the DP designs, trust me! We will have catted and catless options for sure.

On the IC upgrades, we are working on three designs:

1. Street FMIC kit that retains the factory crash bar and puts the largest IC we can behind it. All three kits will have full bulkhead designs for easy installation of the pipe kit. No trying to line two floating pipes up with each other while you run a nut driver left handed and upside down. The driver side bulkhead will include a gel cell high CCA battery kit in order for optimal pipe routing. Battery hold down will be built into the driver side bulkhead sheet metal assembly.

2. Track FMIC kit that utilizes a larger core but deletes the factory crash bar. Uses the same piping kit as the street kit for easy swap upgrade or track day swaps to the big core.

3. Water To Air Intercooler which will replace the TMIC with a factory fit water to air charge cooler and adds a front mount heat exchanger (the same triple pass dual core design we use on the supercharged Jaguar XKR - it fits perfectly in behind the GR crash bar), 26GPM pump w/ cast aluminum housing (which incidentally looks just like a little compressor housing), optional R134 cooling stage featuring a 32 circuit flat plate heat exchanger, optional liquid CO2 stage featuring the same flat plate unit. At the push of a button or flick of a switch you can drop your initial charge circuit temps to anywhere between 20-40F. Leave the A/C on and lose 4-5hp out of the belt and gain 20 out of the intercooling system. On the XKR these systems drop running boost temps into the 50's to 70's in Fahrenheit across a full pull. Or just use it to chill the system before a drag race or Auto-X pull.

As for powdercoat, we prefer to anodize our cores (and I'd like to check out some of these exothermic coatings on the market to see if they're really worth their salt), and all of our piping kits will be T304 stainless steel, not aluminum. Holds boost much better, doesn't slip off the couplers. We'll have a brushed option and then probably a few powdercoat options, but the brushed is going to look spectacular.

And you thought we just made tailpipes

Just installed my axleback. Initial thought was that it was louder than expected. I must say the longer i listen to it the more I like it. Sounds completely different from stock. From the inside, at/during acceleration, the exhaust note is definitely audible.

From outside it just sounds amazing. I honestly didn't think the exhaust would be this loud but it is not a bad thing either. I was hoping it would not be as quiet as a SPT nor would it be as loud as some of the other name brand ones. This seem like a good equilibrium point.

As people have mention, videos does not do it justice when it comes to the rumble or the loudness of the exhaust.

Over rating of this product is GREAT. Jason is the man, best auto part customer service I've ever had.

Anything on the 08 HB with the single pipe, or just the dual pipes coming out the back?

hahaha, believe me, I was very impatient too, you can ask Jason for yourself. it is worth it tho.

So I installed the exhaust yesterday... I couldn't get any sleep at all last night because, I kept thinking about my exhaust and I wanted to hear that boxer rumble again. And when I did fall asleep... you guessed it, I was dreaming about my car... I guess it is that good, or bad however you want to see it. It's 7 right now and I don't know wth to do hahaha.
