I have the muffler deletes and Perrin mid pipe. I LOVE the growl and loudness but ever since I installed the deletes I get popping between shifts any time I do hard pulls. At first I thought it was cool but it is slowly getting annoying.

Also have a nameless downpipe to install soon. Can anyone comment on the sound after going to full TBE after having the axelback or cat back for a while?

It will get louder. The popping is backfire from the OTS tune

I've finally got mine squared away as well. Sounds amazing and looks great - the issue I ran into was getting it lined up appropriately. It's centered in the valence and each axleback is even height-wise, but they are slightly off depth-wise. No amount of finagling could get them perfect. But it's so close you can't tell unless you are looking for it.

I have the cat-back so it may not be an issue for those of you with the axlebacks.

Axelback was no issue fit wise.

So ive been driving around for a week or two with this thing. It's awesome. I love the sound of it starting up in the morning. My neighbors not so much, while the car is warming up my neighbors might be a little grumpy, but once the idle drops down its fine having it idle in the driveway at 3:45am.

Driving, this sounds mean and I love it. We did a trip from Portland to Seattle and around 60-65mph it sounded like a slight drone. Once I got it up 70-75 mph I could cruise all day and it purrs nicely. I'm driving from Portland to the Lake Tahoe area next Sunday. 10 hours of driving straight I'll give you an update.

Muffler Delete, or Muffled?
Sedan or Hatch?
Year? WRX? Sti?
Any other mods, like downpipe or midpipe?

Post some pics.

I'm not trying to be a hassle, I'm just waiting for mine to arrive, so I like to talk about this stuff.

The people at nameless were so cool too. Will be returning for more products.

Been looking forward to them! And a few videos, stationary and driving, under load. This is the exact setup I'd like to pick up.

My axleback shipped today. Without getting into too much detail just yet, I just want to say that I've been thoroughly impressed with the customer service from Ryan and Jason @ Nameless. I made a VERY last minute change to my order, and they were very accommodating.

Now my two examples of excellent customer service are Amazon.com AND Nameless Performance.

Hey all,

People are always asking us for discounts on our parts, and often times we really don't have a lot of head room to work with in terms of our margins, etc. We're a small shop and we build almost everything to order in fully configurable design options. But we've been brainstorming and trying to come up with ways that we can offer discounts to our customers. One of the ideas we came up with recently was to offer package bundles - combining our tried and true products with items that we all use in our own vehicles and that our customers have recommended to us. We might not be able to cut a large amount off of our own parts on their own, but we have put together some very aggressive package deals when combining our parts with things like brake upgrades, tuning packages, KartBoy Short Shifter assemblies, Gauge Pod & Gauge Combos, etc.

So here's the thread over in the vendor forum for anyone interested in getting a sweet deal on whatever configuration of exhaust it is that you want us to build for you:

Nameless Performance Axleback Packages

Great bang for the buck component packages - you just tell us the details of the build and we'll give you a deal based on your goals for the car. This is something we have done from the jump, but we rarely advertised it publicly. I know some of you out there know what I'm talking about: You bought an exhaust from us and then called a few weeks later and asked what offset wheels you should run on your car, or what we recommended in terms of suspension upgrades even though we don't advertise those parts for sale. :-D And we spent an hour on the phone with ya and got you all squared away and sold you absolutely nothing? Yeah. We do that pretty regularly. Now we're going to do it and make it worth your while by offering these package deals instead of making you run around on the internet and pay six layers of shipping for a bunch of different items so that you could get the lowest price possible. We'll do both. So go check it out and hit us up on the e-mail and we'll do our best to get a bundle of joy shipped out for your car.

And remember, if you've got tech questions, pre-sales questions, installation questions or product development ideas - we are always at the same place: sales@namelessperformance.com

Alright, just got back from a 1500 mile road trip. Drove from Portland to Lake Tahoe area for the weekend for the job. This exhaust was perfect. Sounded great in and around town, when I got to the highway I had sustained amounts of time over 70mph and it seemed to be quieter than at 60mph under load. 75+mph was the sweet spot. I drove for 9 hours and got out of the car with no ears ringing or headache. Thanks again for making a great product Nameless.

I was thinking of going with the 4 inch mufflers because I won't be doing anything else to the exhaust for another 50k, but your posts make me think the 5 inch would be better. How much more noticeable is the exhaust over stock from inside the cabin when you do a medium pull from a stop?

I've wanted an Impreza for nearly 10 years and I finally got one so I really want the growl I've always dreamed of but, these days I really enjoy it when other people don't think I'm a douche. My daily cold starts are about 10 feet from the next house over.

So, is it enough of an improvement over stock that I'll be too excited to really care whether it's a touch louder? I want it to make me smile when I punch it but, I don't want to draw attention.

You could do the magmaflow version. It is pretty mellow. Otherwise I would go with the 5 inch

Magnaflow sounds like what you want. They have a scale of the different exhausts.

http://shop.namelessperformance.com/...eback-exhaust/

The one I have is pretty loud on initial startup but once the idle settles back down its hardly noticeable over the wife's outback.

I've had my exhaust on for a month now, and just wanted to drop by and say I'm loving it. (2012 WRX Sedan, 5" Axleback)

A tad louder than I expected in the lower RPM's (1500-2500), but a beautiful boxer growl when at WOT. The volume doesn't bother me one bit, but my gf isn't your biggest fan right now.
It feels like my empty truck is amplifying the sound into the cabin... perhaps there is a way to muffle this sound? I put some towels under the floor of my trunk, on top of the spare tire, and that seemed to reduce the noise a tiny bit.

Like I said on your Facebook page, I'll be back for your downpipe and midpipe as soon as I set aside the money for them.

Keep up the good work.

Just ordered the GR hatchback axleback with 5" mufflers and staggered 3.5" single-wall tips. I can't wait! Bonus: I convinced the girlfriend to pay for it.

I have to say I love the idea of this company. Super down for you guys!

Question: If axelback is just for sound, whats the benefit vs spending 150-200 more for spt catback shipped to your door? Im definitely noobish just looking for answers. The $200 is definitely a good answer too haha.

I am just unsatisfied with the stock wrx exhaust. I am not looking to put a turbo back on for a few years but I need more of that boxer rumble. (No headaches after 2 hours on the highway, just something to make the red lights turn green faster when another rex wants to say hi next to me. haha)

The cheapest I could find (and purchased) a new SPT CBE was just south of a grand. Don't know where you are shopping. Picking up the nameless 4" axle backs next to try as SPT is not doing it for me.

That's a setup I'd love to hear, if you have the time to post a video. I bet opening up the DP let's the boxer rumble come through a little more, without being too loud.

That's why I'm hanging onto my stock mufflers. Once I add the DP and go Stage 2, it might be too loud for me (and by "me," I mean my girlfriend and neighbors).
