Default 1995 Legacy...noise in the right rear

Have not been on this forum much since I sold my wrx. However, want to get a dd, so I am looking at a 95 lsi legacy. Car has a ton of miles, 200k. Just had the front axles replaced. The abs sensor is on and cel is nice and bright. But my major concern is this noise from the right rear of the car.
It get louder the faster I drive. I am thinking axle, wheel bearing, or diff. What is the most common problem that it would be. At first, I thought it was tire noise, like one of the tires was bad, but they are new tires and they look good.
Any ideas??? Have to let the owner know in the morning if I am going to buy it.
thanks for any help,
jm

Is it like a pulsing sound? Describe the sound a little more.

Default sound

It sounds like a rotational rumble sound, grinding, getting louder as you speed up. I am thinking a wheel bearing. But since the half shafts in the front were shot, maybe the rears are gone too.
Could not get it on a rack to check. This car is being sold for 1500.00 so I guess not everything is going to be perfect.
Thanks for the reply, I have one hour to call them back
Any ideas would be great.

Wheel bearings are perhaps the most common, although I am thinking this just might be a stuck brake caliper.

For $1,500.00 this sounds like a steal. Don't let a few minor "issues" stand in your way.

Heck it might just be a rusted dust cover shield.

Default going over to get it now

Well, I guess I will find out. Going to pick the car up today. Have a few weeks to get all the problems fixed. At least it has some new parts.
thanks for the input. Will be asking lots of questions under another thread.

Default picked up the legacy today

Well, got the little lsi home today. Runs great except the wonderful loud sound in the right rear. I am thinking wheel bearing. Everything looks really clean under the back and the axles look new. So that will be the first place I check.
Will let you know what I find out.
thanks,
jm
