Default Impreza 2.5i TCU? Torque split change?

I own a 2008 Impreza 2.5i Auto (base model).
Has anyone figured out if the TCU can be adjusted (like an open source tune for the ECU) so that the default 90/10 torque split can be changed?

From what I've read, it seems that the 2.5i goes into 60/40 split only when slippage is detected.

I don't think anybody has been able to crack the tcu yet. It would be great for a plethora of reasons.

I thought the 08+ models were 60/40 in general, that's what my 2009 brochure says
The car certainly behaves like it has a more even split.

For a possible tuning solution, check out the "4EAT Solution...." thread in the transmission forum. Not sure if you can adjust the split with it though.

Also according to Subaru's Canadian web site it's 60/40 split to start and can go as far as 50/50. Beyond that, no one knows anything and Subaru isn't telling. :-)

I have to say it goes quite well in snow w/o any changes.

Thanks for the reply guys.
I was just reading about the VTD in the older WRX 4EAT and the DCCD and thought it would be cool.

I don't even know where the TCU is on the thing. Where is this thing anyway? I'm guessing its not part of the ECU right?
