Default Trying to judge interest in 4-pot GB.

Hey, everyone. I am working with Sugar at Troncalli to try to organize a group buy on Subaru 4-pots/SS brake lines (Goodridge). The kits will be for WRX owners (no rotors, your stock WRX rotors will work just fine) or for RS owners (this one will include the rotors). Both kits will include Goodridge SS brake lines. Pads are a possibility, too. Prices will be available soon, hopefully. Please post any suggestions/comments here. Sugar and I would like this buy to happen by Aug 1st.

I would be in for it, I am getting some 17" wheels next week and was just starting to look into buying these. So you can count me in. One question though:

When you mention pads do you mean aftermarket pads or stock pads for the 4 pots?

It is likely that either the stock pads or a couple of aftermarket pads will be made available for the GB. I am still checking with Sugar about this.

I'd be interested in a Stoptech GB. I just don't feel that a 4-pot upgrade with the stock rotors would really give you too much benefit. If anything, the SS lines would help more.

The Stoptech kit is very nice, but I want to still be able to run 16" wheels for the track and also winter. I have an OBS, so the WRX sized rotors are an upgrade for me.

It would be better if they came with the stock pads.

I might be interested also depending on price but I don't need the stainless lines as I already have them.

4pots + pads + s.s. lines and i'm very interested. IIRC the 4pots and pads normally sell for $580ish and the lines under $100. any idea what the GB price would be???

Thanks Trent. Like I said I was thinking about doing this very soon anyways so now this gives me a reason to buy them.
The calipers + stock pads + lines would be perfect. Just let me know when the buy is approved.

i'd also like to see if they can include the option of doing the rear (2 pot upgrade). obviously all would depend on cost, but i'd like to see that option

I will let you guys know as soon as I hear anything from Sugar.

I know Lisa sells the 2-pots on her website, www.wrxrsparts.com , they are EXPENSIVE though! I'll see what she says.

I just purchased my 4-pots and so I guess I just missed the boat.

I would however be interested in the rear 2-pots and brake lines. But the rears involve a lot more work, unlike the front brakes, including taking off the wheel bearings etc., for which my dealer quoted $350 (installation).

Thanks.

I'd be interested. If the price is right, that would be great. Does anyone know if the SS lines (which I have on my car now) for the 2 pots will fit with the 4 pots, or do I have to replace the lines as well?

Subaru 4 pot front calipers
