Zeeper,

Your MSRP is correct; however, the invoice price you cited is not. Don't know what was included so I can't say if that is a good or bad thing. In any event, the deal that you got was OK - even with out knowing what was included. I think that you got the invoice price minus the $25 (more or less).. Think that you got a good deal..

That is the total price including destination charge. No options other than the $525 that are going to be installed by the dealer using the pre-order incentive and my $25.00 gift certificate. It is a PZEV model as this is NY mandated. What invoice price do you show for this model?

BTW Subaru of Keene offered me the same exact model for $300 under invoice at $20,278 or $22.00 less than my local dealer. However I would have had to drive to Keene to negotiate my trade and the gas to drive 3 hours each way would cost more than the $22.00.

The Keene offer would be closer to the true invoice for your configuration. In summary, again, you got a good deal. An extra +/- twenty cents really does not matter, in these cases.

USAA pricing is $300 under invoice at participating dealerships, no need to haggle if you have them and will finance under them.

Yep, I am also a USAA member; however, the dealer actually pays additional $$'s to USAA for these discounts. Sometimes, it may be better to just let the dealer know that you can get USAA pricing and they will match it without the USAA penalty to them If they don't, then by all means go the USAA route.

What finance rate would you get from USAA? I think we got 2.9% through SOA

Subaru/Chase was cheaper for me when I bought the OBS and OB. Haven't financed the new one yet as I am awaiting it's arrival.

Question: Is there any feasible way to replace (Or have someone replace) the accent lighting in these Imprezas? I do not care for the red lighting Subaru has opted for and would like to replace it with blue:

Does anyone have a side by side comparison with the different gauge clusters that are available (limited vs base/premium).

Default Front Grill Mod

I've already decided to modify the looks of my 2012 a month before I'll get it!

Almost for certain I'll remove the "wings" from the front grill. Here's hoping it's a bolt-on. Even if I have to cut some plastic weld I'll probably do it.

The question is whether I leave the badge or not. Again, here's hoping the badge is a bolt-on.

Keep the badge or you rob the car of its identity. I'm certain you're not ashamed of driving a Subaru and without the badge it's just another anonymous car.

Wouldn't it be easier to just buy the Sport Grill? Edit - Quoted the wrong person, but I think everyone gets my meaning.

In some ways this doesn't make sense.

But first, every car is an aerodynamic compromise. I'm sure you've all noticed that Camry, Altima and Accord all have almost identical profiles. For any given speed there is an optimum aerodynamic shape which minimizes drag while increasing road-holding. The car makers design to a speed of something like 60 mph and fine tune aero for that.

All else being equal, the hatchback profile is more aero at highway speeds than the "notchback" sedan profile.

A hatchback getting worse MPG than a notchback surprises me.

Alex, may I ask how much it was? I am on the fence between jumping on a Touring 5-door vs keeping the old Legacy for another year...

According to canadian specs, the Cd of the 4d-sedan is 0.31 while that of the 5d-hatchback is 0.33.

mind sharing what dealer your working with? im considering trading my car in on a new one but i need to see one in person first. curious what real world fuel economy they will get as ive averaged 31 mpg with my 08 over the 17k miles ive had it.
