This falls in with what I wrote, the doors are heavy. Hold onto your door when you open it.

This was because the wind in my area is strong so i dont want my door swinging into any fixed objects. Its not me who im worried about its the passangers who get out im worried about.

They open widely for easy entry and exit. That is a good thing.

I don't think you understood. When you get a chance you should build an Impreza, specifically a Premium hatchback, and attempt to add the sport grille. It won't let you. The button will say "Excluded" instead of "Add+".

whoa whoa whoa! You mean i have to hold onto the door when i open and close it? I'm not supposed to wildly fling the doors open and closed? What the heck kind of pos car is this?

Disclaimer: on my other car, i always held the doors when opening and closing and even at 220,000 miles, the doors still operate as if the were new and very little force it's required to shut the doors

The configurator on the website had many bugs in it from the get go. They supposedly were supposed to come out with a new version, but I guess there still are issues with it.

This is really user error more than anything else. If someone is going to wildly fling the door open in an Impreza, they would be doing it in other cars too. If the doors had a bit more resistance, it wouldn't help matters in a strong wind. I've had `10 cars, in all of them, a strong wind could open the door quickly if people were not holding on.

If there was more resistance on the doors, people would complain.

My God, I would shed tears if this were true... Actually, it wouldn't matter since it's cheaper on eBay. Still, there are principals involved. You already have yours, so you can be all honey badger about it, but I still would like to know it's price while configured online.

That's what I'm figuring. I just wanted to post it just in case someone searches and wants to know if it's a known issue. It's definitely known. haha

Personally I don't like the sport grill, looks like a gaping hole in the front.

Haha That's WHY most people like them!

I am digging the plasti-dipping of the stock grille, though.

Others don't like the faux aviator propeller that Subaru and Volvo use in their grills.

I have the Black/Dark Gray sport. Too much chrome on the original grill. The optional grill makes my car look a lot better - IMHO.

Sport does not have a chrome grill, brushed silver, I like mine the way it came.

Although from a distance, the honda civic and impreza's of recent years look similar.

If you hate chrome, look at the huge-ass grills on the Ford Fusion. Ouch!

I agree with Haunty, don't like the gaping hole look of the sport grill. The first weekend I had my car, I removed and blackout the grill. Much better!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a configurator bug. I was playing with it yesterday for a Sport Limited and noticed when you choose "Chrome Inserts", it excludes the sport grille.

For the Premium non-Sport, the "Chrome inserts" are listed as "Standard" and the Sport Grille is locked out as excluded.

I'm 99% sure that's a configurator bug and can assure you that the Premium can have the sport grilled added, at least dealer or self-installed for sure.
