I didn't feel like quoting ALL of your multi-quotes. All your links you provided is what I was referring to as "a lot of work", wasn't implying to change your wording from polite to "grumpy" like mine. Just saying it was a waste of time & on my iPhone app I was forced to scroll through pages of useless info which wasted my time as well & for a majority of those on here not buying a 2013 WRX. Now I'm wasting everyone's time.

I like the white gauges during full daylight, and I like the way they illuminate during full darkness. It's during twilight hours, when it's dark enough to turn on your headlights but there's still light coming into the cabin from outside, that I find the gauges hard to read. And I have the gauges at full illumination, so it's not that I have the brightness dial turned down too low.

I know this hasn't been brought up in a while. For those of you that think the audio in the impreza is bad. The bare bones outback that the dealer gave me as a loaner. The audio quality is noticeable worse! I wonder if it's the different head units that lead to these issues?

Rather than changing the head unit, do you think a smaller, 4 channel amp would give the speakers better sound? We purchased an Impreza limited with nav so I would hate to lose the nav unit.

If Subaru offered a diesel Impreza, it would absolutely steal market share from the VW Golf/Jetta/Jetta Sportwagen crowd. Imagine it--the fuel economy and torque of a VW TDI, plus AWD, plus (what I assume would be) a higher level of reliability than VW can provide.

Now that's a winning combination!

Yes it would but changing the head unit is actually less work.

They do make a diesel Impreza with 6 speed maual transmission for Europe. I've seen one since I have been here.

Yes. I'd love to see that car here in the US. I'm tired of VW TDIs being the only affordable diesel option here in the US.

I just dropped off my car at the dealer for the P000A check engine light issue. The service rep was pretty sure there was a new ECM flash available (just released in the last 10 days or so) that addressed it. I'm a little surprised since I haven't read of anybody else having this problem. From talking to him, it sounds like they've seen a few cars with their oil light on too.

Got a call from the rep this afternoon after they checked out the car; they determined that the cam sensor was faulty (surprise surprise), so they've ordered a new one and will swap it out.

New TSBs I saw when looking for the newest ECM flash... both seem to revolve around extended cranking.

Service Bulletin # 16-82-12
Pages: 3

Bulletin Description: Should you receive a customer concern of a “Check Engine” light, “AT Temp” light or a no engine crank condition, the wiring harnesses to the Transmission Range Sensor (inhibitor switch) should be closely inspected for damage or a short circuit to the CVT transmission case. In addition, Slow-Blow Fuse (SBF)-6 in the Main Fuse Box (M/B) may also be failed.
