Does any one have the tail pipe cover? Was thinking about getting one since it's only $30 but can't seem to find any pics of what it looks like on.

The limiteds come with it from the factory. It is definitely worth buying IMO. I had a premium that didn't come with it, and it was kinda ugly without it.

Yeah, that's how I feel I keep looking at how ugly it is. You convinced me I'm gonna order that and a trunk mat

I have the trunk mat for my sedan. It has a more plastically feel (vs. rubbery), fits perfect.

Thanks. It is a 29er rigid singlespeed. Get into mtnbiking if you can, so much fun!

Thanks. I haul my roadie to work, too, once in a while, and go for a ride after work.

Once you select the items you want to buy, go check out. Input all your info, hit continue and there you can find where to put the code in. Also put "BLOG" code, saves you $5. I tried it last night and it works for two codes. I haven't ordered yet, but I'm thinking of ordering the visors and side cargo nets...

i'm in the market for a new car and, although i have only internet reviewed so far, the 2012 impreza is at the top of my list (the only other car on my list is the mazda 3). i am going to go test drive in the next couple weeks but i am anxious and was hoping you guys could answer some questions for me before i go to the dealer.

1) can i custom order the vehicle with any combination of options (as allowable by the subaru website 'build your own')? and if so, do dealers charge more for custom orders?

2) i've looked at local dealer inventories and can't find any manuals. shifter and clutch pedal feel are important to me. what do you guys think about it?

3) are the roof rails on the sport model easily removed (by me)?

4) is there any luck of getting a 6 speed manual in the near future (i.e. 2013 or 2014 model)?

thank you!

1) Yes. No (often you get a better deal on a factory order).

2) Don't know, I have a CVT.

3) No

4) 2013 = No; 2014 = ??

Add me to the list. '12 Impreza Sport Premium with 5400 miles. Nice crack/dent in the windshield from driving and getting hit by something on the interstate. Hope our Allstate policy will cover it.

Can't order 2012 any more, orders for 2013 might be open, but you won't see the car for another 2-3 months.

I have a manual, and it isn't quite as good as our Jetta, but it is pretty good overall

tried driving my 5spd manual up the road to Gray's peak, dirt, steep, and tons of people going VERY slow. The car was super short on power and I had to majorly milk the clutch in first gear just to get up the hill. Was a little disappointed, but if I had a little more speed up the super steep sections, I would not have had to do that.

that it is :-)...but this was beyond a struggle....Just keep in the back of your mind...on a 15%+ grade, dirt road...don't drop below 8mph...you won't get started again ;-)

My 2011 Outback 2.5i 6 speed never had a problem, I figured between weight and power ratings between the 2 cars...the torque would be enough to handle this road...even my friend's hooptie of a honda civic that has NO power, out performed the 2.0i on this hill, haha.

Haha haven't ridden in far too long but I have a KHS tri bike. Maybe this fall...

Thanks for the coupons! Need to convince the woman that dropping $400 is a good idea . Those spoilers look GREAT.

I hope there will be more comments about this. For example, does the CVT (automatic) act this way too?? While looking at rural real estate I had to get my Vega out of some dirt road places by going uphill in reverse. Once I learned that would work, life was less scary! That has never happened to me in a Subie, and I hear where you're coming from. I'm horrified.

I have a cvt sport model if I ever need more power I just give it gas but my model also comes with Paddle shifters which sounds like in your situation would be very handy , I drive the hell outta my subarus and have never really had any issues

I must believe that, with a manual tranny in 1st gear, I could get the car moving up that hill again. But I've never tried it, so I guess I can't confirm it.

Below ~25 MPH, the torque converter in the CVT isn't locked, so you can drive it up steep inclines like a regular automatic and just feather the throttle as needed.

Never had trouble getting my Subie going on a steep hill in 1st, but I wish it had more power (coming from a mustang) thats my only gripe...

You can. all you need to do is slip the clutch enough to get it moving at a speed that would allow you to get in the upper RPM range and i bet you could even shift to 2nd if so inclined.
