you know what? I have a ton more research to do before I think I know what's going on here.

I'd like to swap em out though, probably stay 17"x7" with same offset but up the tire size. and lift the back 1" ha

if you do go to a 215/50/17, i would also go to a 1 inch lift. i plan to do the same in the future. also, you dont have to keep the same offset you could go a tad lower. but yea, i would definitely do that if i had the time.

So far my only mod is a nice burnt titanium lathewerks knob, but I want to do suspension next. What companies are making coil overs/springs for these cars? It's such a pain to search for this car because it's so new I'm assuming. I miss the good ol days of my bugeye when anything and everything was swappable year to year.

Not sure who has coilovers out yet but Eibach and H&R have springs coming out if they aren't out already.

You beat me to this comment. Narrower tires bite through the snow. Wider tires are more likely to float on top of the snow.

Didn't see it on Eibach's site. All they have listed is the BRZ. Is it the same springs?

Found H&R which is nice 1.4 up front 1.3 rear. But they are all on preorder or sold out. Just going to have to keep searching or wait for them to be released.

Yup, they will hyper blink due to LEDs having a lower resistance compared to halogens. I just bought a flasher relay fix. http://www.ebay.com/itm/270845291955...84.m1439.l2649

How would I do that and would it only display the numbers I have programed into the HU as opposed to phone numbers that I don't have bluetooth voice commands programed for?

New to Subies and mods, but learning as each day passes! Thinking about installing a '08 STI Axleback with quad exhaust tips on my '12 DGM Impreza Premium, 5-spd, but the rear bumper is too low and the exhaust tips would end up behind the black plastic-looking thing on the rear bumper. Stock muffler has a drop down tailpipe. Possible solution is to get the rear bumper trimmed..

Maybe not holes.. but trim out two sections where the exhaust tips would exit.

I want to have it come out looking something like this..

I know it's not the same bodystyle but I'm looking at how the exhaust tips exit

Another option would be to wait til the '13 WRX comes out and buy that rear bumper; however, I wouldn't be that patient haha. Great idea, though. I'll be on the look out for updates! I've also been wondering if an 04-07 sti muffler would work on '12s.

So I had my 2013 Impreza for about two weeks now and I noticed something when driving on the highway.

When cruising around 60-70 mph, the car quickly sways left and right. The steering wheel doesn't jerk or anything, instead the car jitters. This only happens sometimes on the highway, but it's pretty obvious and kind of annoying.

I'm not sure if its me just getting used to Subaru's AWD or if its the uneven road that I'm on. Maybe even both?

Anyone else experience this?

What model?

Are there crosswinds?

2013 Impreza Sport Limited, CVT.

No crosswinds. The weather is pretty calm here in L.A.

But like I said before, it only happens sometimes during my commute in the morning. Always at speeds of 60-70 mph, and it never happens in the city.

I was thinking that it could be the tire pressure. I have them all at ~35psi.

Start by adjusting your psi to 32f/30r, but that shouldn't make much of a difference. Likely the road.

If any sort of exhaust from the WRX or STi were to fit our Imprezas I would be overjoyed. There doesn't seem to be anything except universal mufflers.

35 all around is a little on the high side, I am in running 34/32 front to rear but may go 32/30. Also patiently waiting for an exhaust system also...uuugghhh.

If it always happens on the same stretch of road, then it's the road.

I like the way my car feels with the tires inflated to 35 front/33 rear, with my OEM 17" Yoko Avids.

Important note: My 35/33 recommendation is established when the tires are cold, driving from my house to the gas station air pump that's 2 miles away. If I inflate to that pressure after driving 20 miles home from work, the tires end up underinflated when cold.

Now in the snow do you run a little lower for more traction? Mine are 34/32 cold also and I have one of those portable jumper/compressor packs that I keep in the back of the car for an emergency (also saves me 50 cents for air at the local gas station).

I don't reduce my tire pressure in the winter time. I will be switching to 16" Blizzaks at around Thanksgiving time, and then back to my 17" Yokos at Easter time. The Blizzaks are squirmy feeling as it is. Reducing tire pressure only amplifies the squirmy feeling due to extra sidewall flex.
