Absolutely not, and to be honest, I don't mind if cars are similar looking. As long as they don't look exactly identical, where a car nut wouldn't be able to point out differences, I'm fine with that.

Personally though, I like the hatchback Impreza from all angles....until you get behind it and see that monstrosity of a rear bumper!!! Aside from that, I think it looks great!

Actually we were comparing mostly the new upcoming Forrester and Toyota. Aaand we kinda landed on Subaru is trying to make more mainstream looking cars because they care about stocks and sales more than heart and pedigree. But thanks for supporting our similar point of view

Im more annoyed with Subaru losing touch with their original beauty of being unique. Especially as I watch these new rav 4 commercials.

Hello everyone,

Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but I have a few questions about my subaru 2013 hatchback.

1. The foglights are PSX24W. Has anybody upgraded this bulb? I wanted a yellower/brighter bulb.

2. Has anybody taken off the airbag stickers from the sun visors? The visor seems to be made of cloth/fuzzy material so I didn't want to risk anything until I get some advice.

3. I wanted to get window deflectors or drip deflectors. Are aftermarket ones recommended at all or should I get the OEM Subaru ones?

Its not as nice as the subie by any means but its does look pretty good. It's got some level of subtlety and refinement to the design that very (VERY) few other chevys do. Chevrolet seems to think that when they make a car they can just make it look like whatever, then add some chrome on the grille, usually a lot, and then throw a giant emblem on the front, oh say the side doors need detail, throw a few feet of chrome on those too, and the rear lid, give it chrome wheels and HEY! It looks shiny. That must be good! The Cruze doesn't follow this idiotic trend nearly as much. That said when I first looked at the impreza I honestly thought the lines had some subtlety that lent it more to German design cues than Toyota, that, till recently, just looked like bulbous objects with four wheels (they have gotten better in the past year or two).

1. i "upgraded" to the cree 7w 600 lumen led bulbs. but not so sure if they are that much brighter. if you lived closer to memphis, i would sell you my hid kit and my foglights.
2.why?
3. what aftermarket options are there. i have the oem and they are fine. not very rugged but they help up well for all weather conditions.

Many people including myself have put yellow vinyl over the fogs, it gives a nice yellow light while giving a little protection to the lens.

I'm looking to upgrade my shift knob...something about it just doesn't feel right. Has anyone tried an upgraded shift knob? I was looking at the Perrin option. Also, has anyone upgraded the pedals for better feel, or is that not really noticeable?

1. are these just a direct replacement to the stock ones? plug and play? or are you saying i have to have the hid kit too?

2. because i don't like how it looks and i've seen users of other brands/models of cars take them off with alcohol.

3. i did a search and saw something from weathertech.

Do a search for Lamin-X. It's their yellow product that I installed on my fogs. Great stuff, but install it when the car, the air temperature, and the Lamin-X is warm.

Does anyone else think the rear wiper sucks? The intermittent speed seems too fast and the washer nozzle just "spills" fluid down the window.

I don't know, should we? I would kind of like to lower the knob height too, I think that may make shifting a little more satisfying. Not sure if that's possible though.

These H9 bulbs are out of control. Its like the high beams are on, but there's still a pretty definitive cutoff line. I feel guilty coming over hills and stuff.

I wonder if there is an argument to be made that the brightness would throw off your distance night vision.

1. the ones i have yes. if you do search ebay you will find them. but you have to shave a tab or two. very easy with a knife. like peeling a potato. you dont have to have the hid kit. but the hid and the led bulb color match each other or close enough. the led lights are not the typical 5-10 dollar light with 30 leds. it has one high power led and a lens.

2. good luck. idk what else to say. peel it off, use a cotton ball with 70% alcohol. because if there is damage 70% alcohol will do less damage.

3. it is whatever you want. i got mine for like 40 bucks because someone bought the wrong one and had it forsale forever.

A lot of ppl with the short shift kits love them. But a knob is a great starting point in my opinion.

Is subaru parts warehouse a reliable place to order from? I was hoping to pick up a rear sway bar before their 20% discount expires...
